Positive: Spirit ridge had all the makings for a good resort but there was some major pitfalls. The service in the hotel restaurant was ABISMAL. So bad. Waiting 2+ hours for food, not busy at all- at all. No contact with server, forgotten drinks, and this was multiple occasions. The food itself was delicious but service was awful. The adult pool was super slimy. Needs a good clean and filter. Now our room... washing machine didn't work. We were there for a wedding and tried to wash clothes for the event and the water never drained. Hotel kept saying someone woukd fix it, but finally at 930pm the night before we leave we come to our room and find a repair man with a washing machine torn all apart. He said he thought we were moving rooms. I hadn't heard from the hotel and was not going to move rooms as we were checking out at 8am. We wanted to watch a movie once the repair man had left. The remote only had one battery in it and didn't work. We called down and asked for another one, one never came. Sun glasses disappeared from our room. Photo evidence they were in our room, but then upon leaving, they were gone. When checking out, I mentioned the issues we had and was stared at blankly, and asked... "so what are you asking for". I wasn't asking for anything, after spending $1800 for 3 nights stay, I would have thought they would have offered ME something. The manager came out, apologized after reading the notes on my file from my phone calls over the weekend, offered me $25 off my bill and some Hyatt points. I dont use Hyatt points but wasn't going to complain... this was already a 30 min conversation. It's been 5 days and no points have come through on my account. There is so many other places to stay in osoyoos, we won't ever stay here again. Cadence the server at the adult pool was phenomenal though. Great service, fun personality, 10/10. Everything else was a 4/10.
