Rural location yet on main route A941 in to Speyside. The town of Elgin only 8 miles (pop 23K) and the village of Rothes (pop 1300) 2 miles & Aberlour (pop 1200) only 7 miles away.
“Speyside” known as Whisky & Castle country.
This former gamekeepers house for Glen of Rothes estate a traditional sandstone & slate construction built in 1871.
Totally refurbish by myself Roy (the owner) using my trade skills as a joiner. It now reflects a home from home for up to 4 people sharing 2 Kingsize bedrooms.
The house is approximately 1500sq feet.
GROUND FLOOR:
Large sitting room with bay window dining area looking out to views of the surrounding hills of the Glen of Rothes.
Large separate dining room with a whisky theme.
Fully equipped kitchen with dining table.
Utility room with a washing machine and dryer.
Large family bathroom with bath and a shower.
There is also a separate W/c

Summary: Near to Elgin, Banff, Findhorn. Really enjoyed our stay here. We saw lots of small birds outside the kitchen window every morning, and even a red squirrel on one occasion. Lots of places of interest to visit within 1/2 hours drive. Hopefully, we can go here again sometime.

Summary: After a long journey from the west coast of Scotland we knew we'd found a place to relax and unwind. The property is finished to a very high spec. and everything is catered for. Location is excellent with easy access to the coast and the Cairngorms. I woukd recommend without hesitation.

Summary: Roy was the perfect host and his house was delightful. It was spacious, clean, very comfortable and quiet and it had everything we needed. It’s location - within striking distance of the coast and the Cairngorms - was perfect. Roy is very knowledgeable about the area, answered all our questions promptly and was a gracious host.
