5 Bedroom House in Twin Lakes

High atop Reva Ridge, lofting over mountains, water, and sky stands the retreat at STARVUE LODGE. Far from city lights, this is a place where even Colorado natives marvel at one of the most dramatic views from a home in Colorado and in all of North America. The central location is close to Leadville, a short drive to Aspen (in the summer), Vail, Beaver Creek, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Ski Cooper, Salida, and Buena Vista. After years of searching, we hand-picked the land as 'the' perfect place to build a log cabin in Colorado. With 360 degree views of the highest mountains in the Colorado Rockies, this home was originally built as our family summer retreat and is now welcoming guests and their dogs from around the world.
This home is managed by Black Wolf Lodging which gives you many advantages over other properties. We can answer your questions about what to see and do, what is open at that time of year and where the favorite hideaways are that only locals know. Mostly though, we are in the neighborhood 24/7 to assist you with any problems that may arise, not hours away and potentially unreachable. Black Wolf Lodging, the first locally owned and operated vacation home rental business in Twin Lakes.
Great for couples, families, company retreats, or those wanting a motivating place to write a screenplay, novel or launch the next high-tech company. StarVue Lodge features a 'great' great room, 'mountain-overlooking' master suite, 'motivational' office and library loft, and wrap around porches facing south and west. A separate downstairs quarters features a large bedroom, bath, and family room complete with the most dramatic walk out basement in the world...seriously.
When our family vacations here, we typically plan days around hikes and canoeing in the lake and over to the ghost town for lunch, climbing the local mountains, dinners in Twin Lakes Village, day trips to Aspen, Vail, or Breckenridge, exploring Leadville, and rafting or hot spring trips within a 30 minute drive.
Here, the nights are truly special. The name StarVue comes from both the unimaginable view of the stars, as many as can be seen in the world without a telescope and clear and crisp as if they were a hundred miles away AND the view of Star Mountain nestled between two of the tallest mountains in America. In fact, the master bedroom was designed so that you can watch the stars as you go to sleep. Fireplace is not available in the summer due to fire danger. Owner strongly requests no smoking, electric cigarettes or vaping in the house or on the property!

Summary: The view from the property could be a photo from Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. The grounds are vast, the dogs were able to play outside easily, and the property itself is beautiful. The exterior photos do not do justice to the reality. 3 levels of bedrooms, so grandma can stay on the main floor without having to worry about steps, the master upstairs is a haven unto itself, and the kid downstairs means he has a place to go by himself when he wants it. I wouldn’t change a thing about this property. Simply amazing.

Summary: The house is fabulous and close to a campground where a group of friends were gathering. We all wished that we could have spent more time there enjoying the property. If it were my house I would add some kind of window shades in the master bedroom, Otherwise the house has comfortable and tasteful furnishings and a great selection of books on the area We had a wonderful stay.

Summary: My family chose to stay in Twin Lakes in order to attend a wedding at the Maroon Bells. Everyone in my family commented that we could not have found a better place to stay. We were an all adult group...aunt, uncle, mother and father of the bride, and grandparents. The house was perfect for us and we appreciated that the property was dog friendly. Everyone loved the house and the view is outstanding! We hope to return in the near future!

Summary: Starvue cabin is an incredible property. It was very clean; the decor was outstanding (we loved the miner rail cart). The view of Twin Lakes & surrounding mountains was priceless. The home was adequately stocked with kitchenware, utensils, towels,& laundry supplies. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone. This is a great cabin.

Summary: We booked this cabin for a long weekend since my cousin was getting married up the road at the lake. We just wandered around shocked that this was seriously our home for 4 days. I would wake up in the middle of the night to the most stars I have ever seen. The construction of the cabin was so epic. We sat outside every morning with our coffee just marveling at the view. The communication with the manager was prompt and amazing. We had a mouse or two (it was fall and prime time for them to seek shelter annd the previous renters had left doors open). They brought wine and traps right away. The road to get there is rough, but the view was worth it. We will be back!

Summary: Location of this house was incredible. View are breathtaking from every angle. Our only issue was mice (plural) and carpenter ants within the home. We had daily mice dropping and chewed bedding/lines - sitting on the living room furniture ants would literally crawl up your legs .... we contacted the owner who basically said "its in the mountains" - as my parents home is 2 miles away, we are very familiar with the do's and don'ts of mtn living, and we do not have either mice nor ants.

Summary: Incredible view of the lakes. Bring your shades the sun coming in the front windows is a killer, curtains/blinds would be a valuable addition.

Summary: Perfect location and great communication with managers. Quick response to our one major problem- our coffee maker broke! They brought us a new one ASAP! Couldn't have had a better time in a beautiful location. Thanks to all who helped out!

Summary: There's no doubt this home has spectacular views but we did have more issues with the home then we would of liked. We arrived around 530pm to no code to the house & a cleaning crew who had just arrived. We had to work around the cleaning crew trying to get unloaded and start dinner which I found very irritating especially after driving 11 hours. They did not do a very good job as the house was not up to the cleaning standards listed in the post. We didn't have enough towels, the kitchen was not well stocked at all as we lacked basic salt and other simple amenities. The master shower smelled like it had not had a good clean in a while. The jetted tub was full of mold it was only after my child took a bath did she know she was bathing in mold. The plumbing only allowed one person at a time to take a shower. We had a suprise visit from Kendra who wanted to bring us a magazine I found to be very odd. Most people don't go on vacations to have strangers suprise them with a visit. I have visited Colorado for the past 10 years multiple times a year booking homes/cabins and have never had anyone show up at the door wanting to chat.we loved the view but the house had a lot of draw backs for us. The view is great but a link or something to have guest avoid old 82 enterance is a must. Other than that we enjoyed activities outside the property.
