Sunny Hill is a stunning, secluded cottage in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Built on the hillside inits own generous garden grounds, it enjoys incredible, uninterrupted views across the sea to the Outer Hebrides and the Isle of Skye. The entire cottage has been completely refurbished and modernised by the current owners. It provides the best of modern living in a stunning location All ground floor. The lounge/ dining is furnished with a feature electric fire in the original fireplace, sofas, and chairs seating up to 6 guests, and large triple-aspect windows maximising the stunning views the property offers. The solid wood dining table and chairs is located at the far end of the room. The modern kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar, electric oven, electric hob, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, and ample kitchenware. The utility room has a sink, fridge, separate freezer, and a washing machine. The large family bathroom consists of a bath, a separate shower, a toilet, and a wash basin. The master bedroom offers guests fantastic sea views, a double bed, bedside cabinets with reading lamps, and a wardrobe. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside cabinets with reading lamps, and a wardrobe. The third bedroom has a single bed, a pull-out bed to accommodate a 6th guest, a bedside cabinet with a reading lamp, and a wardrobe. There is a beach just along the lane and further large sandy beaches within a mile of the cottage. It is just a short drive (5 miles) to the renowned west coast village of Gairloch where there is a good selection of amenities including restaurants, pubs, cafes, small shops and supermarket.

Summary: The cottage was larger and better than expected from the photos. Was very clean and had everything we needed except there was no outside garden furniture. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Amazing views.

Summary: Just concluded a weeks family holiday at Sunny Hill. The house was spotlessly clean, fantastically well equipped and located in a quiet rural location. Could not recommend highly enough. The facilities at Gairloch provided everything that we needed. We would recommend the Cafe at Big Sand campsite for a cooked breakfast, the Chip Shop and Butchers half way between the house and Gairloch to be excellent for Fish Suppers and local produce (meat, game, fish and fresh) respectively. I'd you get the weather (as we were lucky too) make sure to explore the regions beaches.

Summary: We had a lovely stay in this cottage for a week. It’s about 7 miles out of Gairloch. Very spacious, well equipped, newly refurbished, with lovely furnishings. The sea views from the property are amazing. The owners live nearby, and when we had a small issue, they came straight round to sort it out for us. Some nice little extras on arrival were a nice touch. I’d highly recommend this cottage to anyone considering it. We will return.
