Positive: Spacious and clean rooms (among the best we found in India in this price category). Lovely host and family taking care of you, with nice homemade meals. Natural garden with lots of birds and nice outdoor ‘dining house’. Option to organize safari tour with them, the host then being your fantastic certified nature guide.

Positive: Great place with lovely host. Food was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Very knowledgable host on all things safari and tigers. Book safaris with him! Property is 40mins from Dhela gate and 15mins from Aamadar gate.

Positive: Home cooked food was exceptional, with the very best chai each day. The room was perfectly clean with a lovely hot shower. The location was stunning, on the very edge of the national park. We saw many bird species just while sunbathing at the property, plus, an elephant walked right past the property the night we were there. Plus so much wonderful support to book taxis and plan our safari visits.

Negative: Make sure you wrap up warm for the winter months evenings.

Positive: That's a family guesthouse and the hosts are just great. I stayed in Sparrow Nest, as I had booked with Mr. Ramesh some safari trips at Corbett, and that was quite convenient! I really liked the location of the hotel (being some 10 minutes of driving distance from Ramnagar) being at the borders of the forest, that was quite peaceful. The breakfast and dinner prepared by the family was excellent; I have tasted many buffets in many Indian 5 stars hotels, and I much prefer the homemade feel I had at Sparrow Nest.

Negative: The complimentary soap and shampoo offered at the room were limited to sample packets; I would have expected something more, especially for the price paid.
