Positive: Best stay of our trip in Kyushu! We can’t ask for more. Scenery, amenities, staff and food are all mind blowing! The onsen is so great that even though we only stayed for 1 night we spent the most time in the onsen! It’s clean and hot all the time! The steamy hot air from the onsen and the sound from the water flowing doesn’t bother us at all thanked to very good room insulation. Staff are incredible! They helped us booked our dinner at the Japanese restaurant next door! That Kaiseki dinning experience was one of the best we have ever had. The complementary Oita potato mochi cake is so yummy so we ended up buying 2 boxes back. Breakfast is included in the stay and also very yummy we asked for refill of nato, miso soup, rice twice 🥹 everything tasted so delicious. Rental car is a must if you want to visit the place especially during snowy seasons. During the day time you can see mount Aso ranges.

Negative: The toilet is outside of the bedroom so could be very cold during winter but they have a small heater inside

Positive: Absolutly amazing stay, I can't recommend it enough. We were only two, but given it's a rather spacious japanese style house with two onsen pools (inside and outside), it can comfortably fit 4+ people, which photos don't show enough. We enjoyed absolutly everything, from the house itself, onsen, provided amenities, being so close to nature, the best breakfast we had probably anywhere in the world in a hotel. Thank you to everyone working on making us feel like home here 🙇‍♀️

Negative: Not really a minus, but you probaby need to rent a car to reach it, or at least it will make it easier.

Positive: The best parts of this stay were the staff and the accommodations. The staff was so kind and helpful They took care of us every morning for breakfast, cleaned our room thoroughly, and helped us whenever we needed it. The accommodations were spectacular and went above and beyond our expectations. The room was huge and the private onsen was luxurious.

Negative: We don't have any complaints about our stay.

Positive: We were lucky to get a family room with an indoor and outdoor onsen at a discounted rate. This room is definitely a heaven for a family or a group of friends. The breakfast was superb and the Italian restaurant we had chosen was of premium fine dining standard. The service was excellent too.

Positive: The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious and had both an indoor and outdoor onsen. One of the best accomodations we stayed at.

Negative: Breakfast time was fixed from 8. We would have preferred having an earlier breakfast. Otherwise the food was outstanding and they made amendments to suit my dietary requirements (vegetarian)

Positive: First the hard facts: the hotel is an oasis of quietness and affordable luxury in the middle of Kyushu’s mountains. The are several apartments with private onsen and some with view over the mountain side. A very tasty and rich breakfast (Japanese or western) is available in the main building. Great Restaurants and a cafe with delicious cake and views are nearby. But the most lovely point was this: In Japan you usually meet many respectful, friendly people. However, the staff in Spa Greenness was extraordinary. Already the information exchange when planning details weeks before our arrival was both cordial and professional. On location everybody was helpful and friendly, be it for a special breakfast or very helpful to book a ferry for the next travel section. It’s really the place to go if you want to find some peace and quietness away from busy cities.

Positive: everything was absolutely amazing! The staff are sweet and helpful, the rooms we had was nice and big (akane), the snacks were great, the staff made a reservation for the Japanese restaurant next door, where we had a very nice keiseki meal - a very fascinating experience -, the breakfast was great! everything was perfect, and we enjoyed the view of Aso and enjoyed both our inside and outside onsen!
