Towering Oaks Lodge, a four season, chalet style, authentic log home features a comfortable interior with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious loft. You can gather around the dining table and kitchen seating for meal time and relax in the cozy living room area in front of the wood burning fireplace. The lower level offers more room to spread out with an additional seating area, high top table, pool table, ping pong table, smart tv and spare refrigerator, counter top and small sink.
When you step outside, you will be amazed at the peace and quiet and natural beauty on the shores of Potato Lake. Keep an eye out for majestic bald eagles soaring above the lake, loons and Canada geese swimming off shore, a beaver swimming by and turtles sunning themselves on a log. There are numerous areas to enjoy the northern WI great outdoors.
A small deck near the front door has a table for four. The 12' by 38' foot lake view deck is just steps away from the dining area. There you will find 2 sets of tables and chairs, the gas grill and a cozy hammock.
Walk from the lower level walk-out to the large patio; from there you can head to the spacious fire pit area to enjoy the view of the lake or watch the sunrise with your morning coffee; or head down the stairs to the 36 foot dock and lakeside fish cleaning house. Please note: Towering Oaks Lodge is a high elevation property. There are numerous steps to the lake and dock area, with 2 ample-size decks to relax on the way!
Potato Lake is one of the area's best fishing lakes. The public boat landing is only a mile from Towering Oaks Lodge. Bring your own boat, or rent a pontoon from one of the resorts on the lake.
On a sunny summer afternoon, you'll see boats anchored and swimmers cooling off in the water. Although there are jet skis, water skiers and tubers, the bay is relatively quiet. Explore the 525+ acre lake with the 4 kayaks provided with your rental.

Summary: We enjoyed the comfortable, homey feel of the cabin. It was great to have two options for fire building. We chose the fireplace in the living room and could relax in the chairs to enjoy the fire. Very nicely appointed kitchen with more supplies than what we have rncountered at other rentals. Plenty of game opportunities in the lower living room area.It was nice to look out on the lake from many different rooms. Hope to return in the future!

Summary: The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. The views were majestic with the foliage and potato lake. My friends and I loved the game room and all the amenities. Tina, our host was very helpful and responsive to any of my questions. Definitely recommend staying there and will stay there again when we come back. 5 star experience!

Summary: This cabin was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed playing the games they provided, i.e. ping pong, billiards, darts and shuffleboard. The outdoor fire pit area is wonderful. The lake is great for kayaking.

Summary: Had an excellent stay!! Awesome hosts! They thought of everything. We really appreciated all the small details and games and the fire pit area. It was the perfect place for our extended family and would definitely come back!!

Summary: The place is exactly like the pictures. Not a cobweb in site. Lots of room and so many accommodations as small as mugs in the freezers down stairs and bartender tools to make drinks. Plenty of furniture in all the rooms. Furniture is all very comfy. We were on a girls weekend of adult moms but this would be amazing for families also!

Summary: We had 4 adults, 3 teens and a 5 year old and everyone had plenty to do. We played yard games (and basement games: ping pong, pool, shuffle board), we sat out on the deck, the pier, around the fire pit. And when others went to sleep you could relax in the basement and watch some tv. The cabin was very clean and spacious, located right on the lake far away from any traffic. The lake is great for kayaking as it isn’t busy, and we saw lots of eagles and loons. Water was a bit murky for swimming. Overall and amazing cabin and a great place to relax.

Summary: Towering Oaks Lodge was just perfect for our family gathering. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was certainly well appointed with everything we needed to provide meals for a group of 9. Two refrigerators is a bonus. The interior is quintessential cabin! Tina was a great host, answering all queries in record time. We were especially happy to get information on where to put our boat in. Game room was fantastic for the morning it rained and kayaks were used multiple times. And of course you have to have S'mores around the fire pit! Guests just need to be aware that there are quite a few steps down to the lake...great for a workout but perhaps a bit many for some people. We had a wonderful time and are glad the hosts share their beautiful property!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin is clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked as is the family area. The fishing was great, caught some nice size walleyes off the dock. Tina, the host was super helpful and was available to answer questions.
