Amazing Lake Lanier Views & Amenities
This 5 bedroom/4.5 bath house on 4.5 acres is perfect for enjoying amazing views of Lake Lanier year round. This property is also the only environmentally sustainable rental on Lake Lanier.
The home boasts a 12 kw solar system with backup batteries which generates the majority of the energy used at the property and helps to keep the lights on in case of a power outage.
When you're not enjoying the views or spending time in the lake or pool, the house also has 60' flat screen TV's in both the living room and game room that are great for watching sports and movies.
In addition, there are two master suites at Sunset Summit. The upstairs master has beautiful views of the lake from the bedroom and bathroom and a large balcony to relax on while you enjoy your morning coffee or wind down at the end of your day.
The master on the main floor has direct access to the pool deck and views of both the pool and lake. The dual masters ensure that multiple people have equally impressive views and amenities.
The home features a gourmet kitchen with double ovens and two dishwashers that are extremely helpful with large groups. There is also a fresh water 1/4 acre pond on the property that you can also fish on.
**The pool will be closed and covered from October 17 - March 16, each year.
The spa is available, however, year-round.**
***The property does have outdoor cameras that are pointed at the driveway, front door, and dock.
However, there are no cameras inside the house and there are no cameras on or around the pool deck. These cameras are used exclusively for safety/security of the house from people that shouldn't be there and also safety for our guests to know the house is secure when they get there. We actively monitor these exterior cameras when nobody is at the property. Once guests arrive, we don't actively monitor the Check availability
Don Carter State park is directly across the water from the house. This is the only state park on Lake Lanier (all other parks are federally run).
The park includes 1,300 acres with great amenities such as horseback riding trails, hiking/walking trails, sand beach, camping and cottage sites. The park can be easily accessed with our pedal boat or your own boat/rental boat. For further information on the park, please see the included link in the 'Links & Video' section of this listing.
Last but not least, this home is very convenient to multiple venues including: Chateau Elan, Road Atlanta, Olympic Rowing Venue, Walters Barn wedding venue, UGA, Gainesville, Cumming, and the North East Georgia Mountains.

Summary: Sunset Summit is a beautiful home with everything needed for a relaxing vacation! The house plan is perfect for multiple families with kids. There was plenty of room for everyone in our group of 3 families. The pool and hot tub was much enjoyed by all and hard to find at a lake home on Lake Lanier. The location is excellent for water sports, fishing and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The sunsets are amazing from anywhere on the property, whether indoors, the pool area, or boat dock! There were plenty of activities for all ages in the home and on the property. On a rainy afternoon, we all enjoyed playing games, dancing to the full house Sonos sound system, table tennis, billiards, puzzles and cooking. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials and the modern double oven was a nice surprise bonus. The house was very clean and well maintained. Jarrett was very helpful with questions about the home, as well as the surrounding area. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here. Our family of 14 loved the pool area, fishing off the dock, nice fire pit area and a great game room. We loved having the 2 refrigerators and ovens. It was pretty secluded, be sure to bring bug spray. Jarrett was wonderful to work with!!

Summary: Beautiful and very welcoming home with everything you could possibly need! The kitchen was so well stocked with every cooking gadget you could ask for!! The pool and hot tub were amazing! Summary: Of all the VRBOs I've stayed in, I've NEVER had a host as kind and considerate as Jarrett. We traveled with my infant son and disabled sister, and he went out of his way to make sure we have the info and set up we needed. The house is beautiful, the pool and hot tub were divine. Summary: We have been staying in various places on Lake Lanier for the last three years for a family vacation. Jarett’s place has exceeded them all! This home has everything you could possibly want in a vacation getaway. This home is appointed with great furniture for relaxing. Awesome views from the family room of the beautiful lake. The kitchen is spacious enough to accommodate a large family and equipped with everything you need to prepare a great meal. Each bedroom has a TV with very comfortable beds. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Along with the game room. Jarrett was very quick to respond with any questions or needs we had. This was amazing vacation for our family! We definitely will be booking again for next year!

Summary: Perfect spot. Hosts are very helpful, and it’s a very secluded part of Lake Lanier. Plenty of room, wonderful pool/hot-tub, plenty to do and large enough property to feel remote. Would rent again.
