Negative: Honestly, we were quite disappointed with the stay given the high rate we paid — it definitely wasn’t worth the amount. The pricing is on par with high-end hotels, but the services and facilities didn’t match that standard at all. For the price, we expected a quality breakfast, but that too was underwhelming — no variety, just the same eggs and cheese on both days. Overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money, and we wouldn’t recommend this place to others.

Summary: Overpriced and underwhelming — definitely not worth the stay.

Positive: Our 2-day stay at Souly Lodge was a much-needed getaway. Despite the heat, the beach and sea breeze made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. The wide stretch of golden sand is absolutely stunning, a true natural escape. One of the most memorable sights was watching the camels stroll along the shore each day, seemingly just to enjoy the beach like the rest of us. It added such a peaceful, almost magical touch to the experience. The team at Souly Lodge truly goes above and beyond. They wear multiple hats and seem to try the impossible just to make sure every guest is happy. Their warmth and effort added so much heart to the stay, making the whole experience even more special.

Negative: The initial smell inside the cabin , a mix of wood and what seemed like cleaning chemicals , was quite strong at first. Thankfully, it settled down after a while and didn’t take away from the overall experience. THE HEAT of Salalah in June.
