Summary: The location is absolutely amazing, with stunning scenery all around. The gentle babble of the Colorado River flowing nearby is incredibly soothing and relaxing. The night skies here are breathtaking – incredibly dark and filled with countless stars, perfect for stargazing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; they quickly learned my name and made me feel like a valued guest throughout our stay. Our room was large, spacious, and perfectly suited for traveling with our dog – plenty of room for our furry family member to roam comfortably. However, there were two significant drawbacks that impacted our experience. First, this is a working ranch, so expect authentic ranch noises (animals, equipment, early morning activity) throughout the day. These sounds often cut through the otherwise serene atmosphere, which might disturb light sleepers seeking total tranquility. Second, and more disappointingly, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. You could feel the springs prominently, and every time my wife turned over, it sent me bouncing – it felt like being launched into orbit! For a property that positions itself as a 4- or 5-star experience, high-quality mattresses are essential, and this fell woefully short. Overall, the natural beauty, location, and staff make this a special spot, but the ranch noises and poor bed quality prevented it from being perfect. We'd consider returning if the mattresses are upgraded!

Summary: The property was very dog friendly although the daily charge for the pet was high. We did not use the spa. I was annoyed that when we had a drink at the bar, they made us buy food, citing a Utah law that they claimed forces them to require that patrons buy some food at the bar. I happen to live in Utah part time, and have oftern had a drink at a bar that did NOT have this requirement. I don't think they know what thery are talking about and really resented this.

Summary: This resort was exceptional. The river rooms had a world famous view with amazing areas to sit and enjoy. The food is amazing and the service supreme. The ranch was very informative with tons of animals to visit. We did a trail ride on horseback that was spectacular. This is a great value and we can’t wait to return. Easy access to town with a wonderful drive in and out. We love Moab, the stars and The Sorrell Ranch. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Summary: We visited at the end of December, which is off season. We were the only guests. The staff took us on hikes and made dinner, lunch, and breakfast just for us. They were fully staffed as it is a working ranch. Rooms were excellent directly facing the river. The setting is magnificent with huge mountains and mesas surrounding the property. We loved it and the team there.

Summary: The location of the hotel is excellent. The luxury of Sorrel is that it gives you the experience of living on a ranch with animals. Its not South Beach or New York Luxury. Its the luxury of getting away from urbanity. The hotel could use some updates in the furniture and design. The staff were excellent, always accomodating and friendly.
