Summary: A nice little house in the wood. We had everything that we needed for a quiet vacation. Ken & Karen were wonderful hosts. We will be back again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Ken and Karen’s cabin. It is a small quiet little cabin that has been decorated beautifully. It was a fully furnished kitchen and just perfect for our two night stay. It was exactly what we needed to exit 2020. We will be recommending it to friends. Thank you both for the use of your cabin and enjoyed talking with you.

Summary: Ken and Karen are absolutely fantastic. Small little cabin perfect for two. Beautiful setting in Nutrioso. Lovely couple that built that cabin with their hands. Can't say enough about them and the short interactions from the weekend. It's a cozy little cabin for two. Great for a weekend away. Can't beat it.

Summary: We spent our anniversary week at the Juniper Hill bunkhouse and had a wonderful time. Ken and Karen were gracious hosts and the cabin was just right for a couple who spent the days out exploring and evenings enjoying the peaceful setting and elk bugling right down the road. One morning a bull elk strolled right in front of the place as if to prove a point! We will be returning next year.

Summary: This was our first VRBO experience. We were looking to relax & enjoy our surroundings. We picked this cabin as it was the only one on their property. We were given good directions & greeted by Ken when we arrived. The front of the cabin was welcoming - flowers, a bench, a small table & chairs. The inside of the cabin did not disappoint either. It had the basics - love seat, table & chairs, tv (never found the need to turn it on) & kitchen area. The small details are what made it special. She had some of her artwork displayed. There was also some stained glass windows worked in. A tiny vase with flowers from the yard graced the table. The bedroom was nice sized, two full size beds. The bathroom was large, featuring a cast iron claw foot tub. Again small details made the experience - nice sheets, fluffy towels. Both rooms had sliders to the back. Bird watching was in the description & they were plentiful. Feeders were there to attract them, along with the flowers. The hummingbirds were amazing. It was peaceful there, especially at night. We enjoyed viewing the stars & watching the sunsets. Escudilla Mountain is just a short drive away & a beautiful area to hike, drive & take pictures. In all, you can tell they take pride in their place & want you to enjoy it.

Summary: Ken and his wife were so nice to us during our stay. We were on a dirt bike ride and we got completely soaked.... all of our gear was wet. We asked Ken if we could use his personal dryer and he said of course you can. The cabin was perfect and we were able to ride right from the cabin. Scenery was beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again!
