Positive: Excellent location, very central yet peaceful, with wonderful views from the well-kept garden. It's an old villa bought from Indian aristocracy, with lots of old-time charm. Kudos to the extremely helpful and friendly management for maintaining this historical gem.

Negative: Food is provided upon request, and tastes excellent. However, how the staff can take 2 hours to prepare two simple dishes (with no other guests or orders) remains a mystery to me. We had dinner there twice, so this wasn't a one-off exception. We also asked for breakfast, but when told that it would take an hour, we decided to eat out.

Positive: What an amazing stay, the best I’ve had in India. The Retreat is set at the top of a long set of steps directly off the Main Street, taking you to a relaxed garden and beautiful homely setting. The staff are all so helpful and the food is fresh and a delight. I hope to return again. Thank you to Kinshuk and the team.

Positive: Interesting old place with character, needs some renovation. Nice bathroom, old fashioned room. Little pricey for what you get. Garden lovely at the front and staff and food really good
