Positive: Property was very clean and sleeping was very comfortable. Beautiful location next to the castle. We were only here for 2 nights for a wedding at the castle.
Negative: Was only there for a wedding so it was perfect! However do keep in mind that location is a bit difficult to get to even though it is only about a 9 min car ride from Tiel train station taxi will charge between €30-€60 and the bus takes about 1 hour. Also there are no restaurants or food shops nearby (walked about 50 min for a Lidl) Recommended to rent a car😊

Positive: Close to Kasteel Wijenburg, which I assume is the only reason anyone stays at this hotel.
Negative: Be aware that this hotel is a fully digital hotel. The check in is done through a website which has a very poor UI, the key card for your hotel room is digital which had some problems for me that I had to fix with the front desk, and there is no staff (or food) available on Sundays. If you are there in the summer, the rooms are extremely hot with no airco and a tiny window for ventilation. The hotel is also right next to a church that has loud bells going off every half hour. I think the most egregious scam of this hotel, though, is that they are very aware that most guests here are coming because of a wedding at Kasteel Wijenburg and yet the check in starts at 15.00 so if you request a bit earlier to be able to accommodate a wedding, they will charge 15 euros for early check in.
Summary: No other option if you are a wedding guest so they know they can rip you off

Negative: Very expensive for a (small) room in the basement. We payed 184€ for a double room without breakfast for one night (on a Monday night)

Positive: Breakfast was very good. It was a little confusing when the first day it was buffet and the second day it was served to us. Also, I was told to get my own coffee which was odd because it was behind the bar. The location was perfect as we were attending a wedding in the castle and church across the street.
Negative: We asked for an accessible room. The rooms are small and my daughter's wheelchair barely fit around the furniture. Also the pebble road and parking lot make it virtually impossible to push a wheelchair through.

Positive: It was a lovely clean room, a beatiful location, and great breakfast. The breakfast was very good.
Negative: It was not clear to me when booking that there would be no dinner available on a Monday night, which left me stranded with no food options since I had no car. It would have been nice if this was made clearer. It was very difficult to find a taxi from Tiel, and the staff were not able to call a taxi for me when I was leaving to go back, which i would expect in a hotel. They gave me a card of a driver but did not call for me, which would have been a nice touch, since pronouncing Dutch place names over the phone is fairly difficult.
