A beautiful lodge in the best location on the site of Retallack Resort and Spa, boasting sitting on the largest plot with a large expanse of flat grassy area to enjoy playing ball sports or time with your pooch! 15 minutes from Padstow and close to all of the popular North Cornwall beaches. The Retreat, Lodge 22 based at Retallack Resort and Spa, 7 miles from the beautiful seaside town of Padstow - Sleeps 8 people over 2 floors (2 super king rooms, 1 twin room and 1 double room), 2 bathrooms, making it an ideal house for two families to share. Open plan kitchen with large dining table for 8 and lounge on the ground floor, with views beyond the decking area consisting of private hot tub and Al Fresco dining for 8 people, down onto the large pond. Lounge upstairs enjoying far reaching views through the large apex windows which can be opened onto the balcony. Outdoor seating for 8 c/w hot tub to relax and unwind. Outside shower to hose down wet suits after a day at the beach. A picnic table is to be found by the large pond at the front of the house which is for the sole use of 'The Retreat'. An ideal place to enjoy family games of Badminton or soft ball.
The house underwent a refurbishment in 2021 with sympathetic coastal shades added throughout, to allow guests to embrace the true coastal holiday stay - relaxing and peaceful.
FREE use of the indoor swimming pool, tennis court and gym on site for all guests to enjoy.
The lodge is located at Retallack Resort & Spa which enjoys seasonal watersports activities on the lake. Try your hand on the wake-park or simply enjoy paddle boarding. Alternatively there are several walks within the site for families to be able to enjoy family dog walks. The FlowRider is a must for children who are keen to surf or body board. For the ladies the ESYA Spa is on site if you want to just relax and indulge.
The Lodge also has its own private hot tub for guests to enjoy as well as a large expanse of ground at the front of the property for guests to enjoy the private use of.

Summary: We had the best time at The Retreat and were thrilled with everything. The property vastly exceeded our expectations and was very luxurious. The Hot Tub was awesome and enjoyed by everyone - it had been fully cleaned prior to our arrival. We were surprised to find that the house content was all of really good quality with all the kitchen utensils you would find at home, we'd taken kitchen roll and tea towels with us, but were delighted to find everything had been thought of and catered for. We've quite a bit of communication with the owners prior and after our stay as we wanted to check a few things and Mrs Burdge has always been fast to respond and unbelievably helpful - honestly, the nicest and most helpful host we've ever had, plus the bottle of wine and cookies on arrival was very nice. A few pointers - the location is perfect, you can get around Cornwall very easily from the site and central Padstow is only 15mins away. We ate out at the PickWick Inn (breathtaking views and delicious food - recommend the steak pie and mussels), we dined at the Italian in Padstow Pucellis, which was handy when you haven't booked as they only take walkins - there was 6 of us and we only queued for 20mins. The onsite facilities are very good - the kids playparks were very well used by our gaggle of kids, the pool is great. but you MUST book to get a slot, and they are only 50min slots. I have my own paddleboard but they wouldn't let me us it onsite, but other than that - we loved it!

Summary: We have stayed at this beautiful accomodation twice now and really enjoyed ourselves. It is comfortable clean and so spacious we love it here and will return again as soon as possible. Highly recommended place to stay, relax and travel around cornwall. Claire and Family.

Summary: Wonderful lodge, exactly as the description. A great place to spend a some of our half term break! If you have a car, that would be helpful to explore the area/ shopping/ restaurants etc but this lodge is ideally placed! Hot tub and instructions were clear, and it was very easy to check in/out. Would recommend for families as there is lots of space within the house, and lovely grass area outside for the children and dog!

Summary: We had a brilliant stay at this property. We had a mixed group of ages from 4-90 and there was enough room and space for all to do their own thing. Kitchen well equipped we ate in every night. Beds were lovely and so comfortable. We made use of the hot tub and swimming pool. The quiet nature of the park meant were we’re able to allow the youngest to scoot round on the roads which was excellent. We had a perfect stay. Thanks you Mrs Burdge for letting us stay. Would definitely recommend to others .
