Summary: We chose the glamping option and loved it. Views are absolutely spectacular. When you open the tent doors, you're immediately hit with a beautiful view of the water and surround mountains and fjords. The heater in the tent warmed up the entire room very quickly. Bed was incredibly comfy. There was a communal kitchen and bathroom very close by. Super convenient. If traveling during the summer, bring an eye mask as it's very bright in the tent with the sun being up 24/7.

Summary: I can only review the A frame cabins, and I would say they are in desperate need of renovation. They’re cute from the outside but far from comfortable on the inside. Neon lights in bathroom and kitchen, no real cupboard in the kitchen, so that plates, cutlery etc. are just shoved below the sink. Also on the bed you could feel every spring — and I’m a very lightweight person who usually has zero problems with hotel mattresses. Other than that, Skarungen is huge, nicely situated by the sea with beautiful views, and close to Svolvær.
