Positive: When booking this room, I must admit I was skeptical if the view would be as good as it was pictured. Well, the view was even better. This skotel was so quaint, beautiful, peaceful, and everything I needed. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer. When I first arrived, there was a massive cloud hanging so you couldn't quite see much. Due to the rainy weather, I decided to stay in for the evening. With it being so cold out, the owners had the fireplace roaring. I cuddled up on their living area couch next to the fireplace, book in hand. Their lounge room has has wraparound windows which added to the vibe. When the bar opened it was even better because then I was able to enjoy the space more with a local ale while reading. This is a fun ski themed lodge that feels as if you took a time machine back to the 1980s. The food at the restaurant was a great addition!

Positive: Environment & Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ The overall vibe of the hotel is warm and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast coffee are available for purchase, which is a nice touch. The entertainment area on the basement level is fun, and the children’s zone on the second floor is thoughtfully designed. Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆ Cleanliness is generally acceptable, including in shared public spaces. Although the room was small, the affordable price and the hotel’s very close proximity to the ski field make it a good value overall. Still recommend it.

Negative: Facilities & Equipment: ★★☆☆☆ The room lighting is quite dim, the heating system wasn’t working, and the wall lamp was broken. The bed felt worn and misshapen, and some of the entertainment facilities were out of order. The shower in the public bathroom was also not functioning properly. Sound insulation is poor — noise from neighboring rooms and hallways can be clearly heard, which affects rest.
