Summary: I can only review the A frame cabins, and I would say they are in desperate need of renovation. They’re cute from the outside but far from comfortable on the inside. Neon lights in bathroom and kitchen, no real cupboard in the kitchen, so that plates, cutlery etc. are just shoved below the sink. Also on the bed you could feel every spring — and I’m a very lightweight person who usually has zero problems with hotel mattresses. Other than that, Skarungen is huge, nicely situated by the sea with beautiful views, and close to Svolvær.

Summary: Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The only concern I had was that the black and gray water from camper vans were directed to be poured into a hole in the ground right in front of the men and women’s showers. And the area where the garbage was stored was right by the main reception area, and it smelled. More than anything, I paid $13 USD for a machine load of laundry that I did by myself.
