3 Bedroom House in Florence

Dune it Right is a 1480 square foot home, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on the shores of the Siuslaw river. You'll find spectacular views, from the living, kitchen, dining and master bedroom. In the winter watch the river flow by while listening to the crackle of a wood burning fireplace.
The living and dining area are one spacious great room, with access out to the expansive deck on the river side of the house. At low tide you can take walks on the sandy banks of the river, at high tide you can stand on the stairs and dip your toes or your fishing pole
The large river front deck has a regular table for dining with cushioned chairs (which is only out for summer), and a picnic table that is out for year round use.. 1 short mile on your bike to Old Town for shopping and dining. Just 3 miles to Heceta Beach, 4 miles to Oregon Dune National Recreation Area. You'll also find a dart board in the garage
The primary bedroom, has a king bed, a 32 inch TV, attached bathroom with shower and it's own door to the deck.
The other 2 bedrooms each have queen beds, and the main bathroom is between them. It is sunny and bright with a sky light and features a shower bathtub combo.
There is also additional sleeping on the full size futon in the living room

Summary: We loved this house. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Right on the water, short drive to everything. River beach was fun, and there were so many hikes and beaches nearby. The house had everything we needed. The backyard is not fully fenced, so dogs need to be on voice command.

Summary: Great property, in excellent condition, wonderful location. Notes:- The kitchen and whole house is very well equipped.- While dogs are allowed, the yard is not fenced, and the deck does not have gates, so dogs must be leashed while outside. - Bed mattresses are memory foam, which some people like, but I don't (because of sagging hammock-like contour).- The beds only have 1 thin blanket and cover, and there are only 2 extra thin blankets (for 3 beds). This is a problem because the home has a "Nest" web/app enabled HVAC thermostat which has been programmed to go down to 62 in the middle of the night, and this is too cold for beds with only 1 or 2 thin blankets. This required multiple trips to manually override the thermostat after waking up cold in the middle of the night. Also, HVAC is high efficiency, which means that it takes about an hour to warm up from 62 to something more reasonable like 67.- Nice fireplace and wood available, but no kindling or paper to light a fire. - I booked through VRBO, and I received a confirmation from VRBO, but I did not receive access instructions from VRBO, the access instructions came from someone else, so that email got spam filtered, so we had to drive back to where we had cell service and spend some stressful time on the phone with a non English speaking VRBO phone support person before getting connected to the property manager for access instructions.

Summary: My family of 4 (plus dogs) stayed here Thanksgiving week and it was the perfect “home away from home” to relax and explore the OR coast. The house is well-stocked and so organized and well-labeled. Had no trouble at all finding anything we needed. We loved the view of the Siuslaw and in the evening we enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace. So thankful we found Dune it Right and we hope to return another time.

Summary: Used to have BBQ and fire pit....no longer available. Which was a surprise and a disappointment. One bed had plastic underneath mattress cover...noisy and uncomfortable. Otherwise nice place to stay.
