Summary: Really enjoyed my stay, easy access to transit and great neighborhood. The apartment is tidy and would work great for solo travel or small groups. The host is very kind and responsive and even had snacks for me when I arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Claytons appartment. We particularly enjoyed the little attention that he gave us when we arrived (delicious pizza from around the corner waiting for us in the fridge!) The appartment itself is good. The furnitures might look a bit old but everything was working fine and the bed was comfortable. The second bedroom is not a real closed room and as we were travelling with a baby it was a bit unhandy to move the bed there when we were going to sleep. As most of the other Montreal appartments, this one was not very well sound isolated, however the upstairs neighbour never made noise very late or very early, it might have been them who were hearing the cries of our baby all night long (thanks to jetlag) but they never complained. All in one we were very happy with our stay but i will not really recommand the accomodation for young childrens (Just a question of set up, otherwise Clayton provided everything we needed! ). I will only note that it could have been a bit cleaner.

Summary: Clayton’s apartment in Little Italy is 15 minute walk to Parc Jarry for Roger’s Cup tennis, 15 minute walk to Marche Jean-Talon, 15 minute walk to two Metro stations, 5 minutes to Milanos on St Laurent an extraordinary Italian grocery store. Typical old Montreal apartment with wooden floors, the configuration of the rooms at first strange works perfectly as you sit at the dining room table and look at the grape-vine covered patio, lovely in both sunshine and rain. I used the kitchen mainly for breakfast and cooking fresh pasta and sauce (from Milanos) late at night after the tennis. The air circulation from the front room bedroom through to the back dining room was good even on the hottest nights of August. Clayton gave me great advice re local restaurants and was flexible about both my arrival and departure times and friends staying over and using the parking space. While my first week devoted to attending tennis, the second turned out to be Italian Week with St Laurent ( 2 blocks away) turned into a pedestrian mall with kiosks displaying Italian food (lots of gelato), culture and evenings of Italian performers even Opera. Although just three hours from where I live, I felt like I had spent two weeks in Italy. I’d certainly stay there again.

Summary: Clayton is a delightful host. The apartment had everything I needed (cups, utensils, coffee, towels, etc.), and Clayton had wine, fruits and pizza ready as a welcome gesture. Its location is wonderful. Little Italy is a great neighborhood with amazing food. The area is safe and easy to navigate. 100% recommended
