The perfect romantic getaway and writer's and artist's retreat, Seashell Cottage provides an unpretentious, relaxing and restorative beachside bolt-hole for all seasons, sleeping a maximum of one couple in a spacious queen size bedroom (please note: it is not suitable for pets and/or children, both strictly not allowed).
The rustic 1930's exterior of the cottage reflects the character and atmosphere of the period and is contrasted by a bright and breezy interior. French doors open onto a spacious deck from where the focus is on the spectacular views, taking in Mount Wellington, Hobart, Tinderbox and South Arm.
Seashell Cottage is set in a private, rambling, coastal garden, with a pedestrian track linking the property via a five minute walk to safe and (usually) solitary Nebraska Beach. The cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island, with Great Bay 15 or so minutes away, Adventure Bay circa 45. A tourist map is at your disposal before you head out.
Dennes Point is ideal for those seeking an active holiday, with swimming, tennis, fishing, kyaking, cycling, boating and snorkeling all options. Those inclined to do absolutely nothing but relax can throw open Seashell
Cottage's French doors, laze on the deck and take in the sublime views.

Summary: My partner and I spent a special few days, bush and cliff walking, sitting on the deck looking out over the bay and eating local produce, swimming in the sea. The 1930s cottage has a magical feel, is surrounded by native animals and birds. Great local cafe too. Ange is a wonderful host. We loved all the architecture and home design magazines!

Summary: Dennes Point is a delightful tiny seaside community on the northern tip of Bruny Island. The small hall is lovely for dinner overlooking the water and the self guided historical tour near the beach is fascinating. The cosy cottage is well appointed and ideal for a couple. Views from the living and dining areas are spectacular, the queen bed is very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are well appointed. There is also a great assortment of all kinds of books. Don't forget to watch the stars at night and keep a lookout for the resident Spotted Quoll who comes on to the front deck at night.
