Positive: Quiet location, bungalows set back from a peaceful beach. Very simple but comfortable. Could do with a hammock !! Able to book tours and arrange transport with them.
Negative: Limited food options in walking distance. The onsite cafe had an extensive menu, but was only able to serve a limited range of dishes most of the days I was there. It is possible to arrange transport to get to the main town, about 15-20 mins drive away for more options

Positive: The location is excellent if you're catching the Mentawai fast ferry or have just arrived, making it a very convenient overnight stop. The rooms are only about 15 seconds from the beach, which is a real bonus. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. The manager spoke very good English and was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Although the other staff had limited English, they were genuinely trying their best, and any communication issues were easily resolved with the manager's help. For surfers, it's a good base if you're planning to surf Telescopes, although you'll need to arrange a boat as it's around 2.8 km offshore. There are also a few small warungs nearby if you want a bit more variety food-wise than what's available at the accommodation.
Negative: The beach water wasn't what I'd normally expect from the Mentawai Islands, being noticeably murkier and browner than other areas. The food was quite basic, and several menu items weren't available because ingredients were out of stock. If you're staying more than a couple of days, the dining options can become a little repetitive. You'll definitely want to hire a scooter if you plan on exploring, as there's very little within walking distance besides a few small warungs. Overall: This is a good budget accommodation that offers excellent value for money. It's clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location, especially for surfers heading to Telescopes or travellers catching the fast ferry. I probably wouldn't stay longer than two or three nights, but for a short stay, it does exactly what it promises and represents good value.

Positive: Ein traumhafter Ort und absolute Empfehlung für dieses Homestay! Die Bungalows sind direkt am Strand (den man so ziemlich für sich alleine hat) mit Blick auf das türkisblaue Wasser. Das Essen und Trinken ist sehr gut und alle Mitarbeiter kümmern sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Ein besonderer Dank geht an "Wahyu", der unseren Aufenthalt zu einem ganz Besonderen gemacht hat. Er hat alles perfekt organisiert - von dem Transport, Fährtickets bis hin zu einer traumhaften Bootstour. Wir fühlten uns ab der ersten Minute sehr wohl. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und liebend gerne hier unsere Tage auf der Insel verbringen. Es ist ein perfekter Ort für Menschen, die sich entspannen wollen sowohl für Surfer, da man schnell an einige der besten Surfspots kommt. Das Einzige, was ich vorschlagen würde, wären Moskitonetze im Schlafzimmer und eine tagesaktuelle Speisekarte, da nicht immer alles verfügbar war. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Positive: Located on the beach! They are so attentive and professional about everything! Always someone to help you out with anything you need! Surfing, snorkeling, dinner, scooter rental, water.
