Positive: The home itself was so charming and cozy. In real estate listings, "charming and cozy" usually equate to small and bare bones...not the case with the Silo Stone House. This is the vacation cottage that dreams are made of. It's on top of a hill with views of the ancient Mycenae ruins and the sea in the distance. It's completely surrounded by expansive olive groves, without a neighbor in sight! The house was so well equipped and well appointed that it puts most other vacation rentals to shame. The owners could not have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. The owners also have an absolutely incredible store that is just a few minutes away and no trip to this area is complete without a stop there. It's called the Silo Art Factory and it could easily double as a museum.

Positive: Lovely decoration with vintage furniture and special touches. Very comfortable bed. A fantastic view of the valley from the house.

Negative: It would have been very helpful to have a microwave and more counter space to cook in the kitchen. Due to the lack of fencing around the lovely patio in front of the house, this house would be best for people whose children are old enough to understand boundaries and safety. Parts of the road that leads to the house were unpaved with some loose stones,so a sturdy car Is needed.

Positive: The best house that we ever rented. Isolated. Increadible view. Strange and lonely chapel above the house. We did bring food and cook it at the house. No need to go to a restaurant when you can enjoy such a house.

Positive: The silo stone house is very unique and beautiful. The location on top of the hill was just beautiful. Sunset was wonderful from the hill top. The host was very nice and they set us up with some food items to start out.

Negative: Water pressure is a little on the low side, but worked just fine.

Summary: We would definitely stay here again. The house is unique and in a beautiful spot.

Positive: We loved being high up in the hills with the gods! It was a perfect place for visiting Mycenae. Even though up so high there was flat access for parking and sitting outside. The signage to the stone house was very helpful. The stone house was very spacious and very atmospheric being built out of stone and other recycled material. It was very special being able to visit the little church and find it open. It is directly behind the house. The hosts were very kind and always accommodating with welcoming treats in the fridge.. We enjoyed our visit to the Silo shop.
