Positive: This property is amazing. The view from the patio far exceeds how it appears in the posting. This was the favourite rental accommodation of our trip. Why? The property sits on top of a hill ooverlooking the Mycenae valley, with mountains on each side reaching off to the horizon, the Aegean sea coast and Nafplio in the distance, and the ancient citadel of Mycenae on one side. We arrived to a magnificanet sunset too. The view is stunning. The stone house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very generous with their welcome package, making sure we had all the essentials for our stay. We lit the fire and loved sitting in the living room after a day visiting ancient sites. The WIFI is fast, and we just loved the ambience of the place.

Negative: There are a couple of downsides: the road up to the house is rough with sharp switchbacks in a few places. We were glad we had an SUV type car. Its worth the drive up, though. We threw out a few black julidae millipedes which are endemic in Greece, and which made their way in. They are harmless. None of these criticisms should make you think twice about booking this property - its amazing.

Positive: Not easy to reach/find, but the owner guided us through with facetime. Use Google maps! What a view! Truly peaceful. Wished we would have booked two nights.

Positive: We fell in love with the Silo Stone House as soon as we walked into the garden and saw the amazing views. Everything was very good from the inside of the property to the outdoors area and the surroundings which includes a little white chapel. The inside was beautifully decorated with a lot of character and attention to detail. The house was catered with food and drink essentials and we were greeted with some very nice complimentary local products. Communication from the host was also very good and fast. Thank you Georgia for everything!

Positive: The home itself was so charming and cozy. In real estate listings, "charming and cozy" usually equate to small and bare bones...not the case with the Silo Stone House. This is the vacation cottage that dreams are made of. It's on top of a hill with views of the ancient Mycenae ruins and the sea in the distance. It's completely surrounded by expansive olive groves, without a neighbor in sight! The house was so well equipped and well appointed that it puts most other vacation rentals to shame. The owners could not have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. The owners also have an absolutely incredible store that is just a few minutes away and no trip to this area is complete without a stop there. It's called the Silo Art Factory and it could easily double as a museum.

Positive: Lovely decoration with vintage furniture and special touches. Very comfortable bed. A fantastic view of the valley from the house.

Negative: It would have been very helpful to have a microwave and more counter space to cook in the kitchen. Due to the lack of fencing around the lovely patio in front of the house, this house would be best for people whose children are old enough to understand boundaries and safety. Parts of the road that leads to the house were unpaved with some loose stones,so a sturdy car Is needed.
