Summary: After I booked this property I had read reviews about it being in an RV park when it looks like it is out in the country, so before I arrived I was getting disappointed before I even saw it. We arrived and yes it is in the middle of a small RV park out in the country, but it is very quite. The Owners sent me the gate code in case the gate was locked. It was never locked while we were there but we had the code if it were. We did have the pool to ourselves and the outdoor setting was gorgeous, comfortable and everything you need to grill out or cook in. The inside of the silo house was also beautiful and comfortable. We invite my nephew and his family over to cook out and we had no complaints as we respected quite time. There were no washer and dryer in the unit as the owner explained it had got broken but there were 5 washers and dryers on site. They even provided shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and it was not the cheap stuff. There were toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant in case you forgot yours. The downstairs tv wasn't working so I text Owners and they sent maintenance over right away and he also brought steaks and seasoning for us to grill out. Over all I was not ready to leave, I could live there and I do plan on returning there sometime in the future.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at the silo house! It was clean and comfortable. It accommodated all of us and was well stocked on necessities. Great location. The back patio and the pool were a perfect addition. We will stay there again next time we go home to visit family! Thank you!

Summary: Quiet, comfortable and unique building. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked, for everything else Hondo has what you need - from Walmart to local restaurants (+ San Antonio isn’t far away). The pool and patio were the perfect size to cool off at the end of a warm summer day. The property managers meant what they said, “call if you need anything”. Thank you for making our first VRBO rental a wonderful and unique stay.

Summary: Our family was in Hondo for two nights for a family event. We were expecting this to be located on acreage. It is actually located in the middle of an RV park. The pool area is shared with the owners so it isn't private. The pool was not available to us the first day due to recent chemical treatment. The second day, we were notified we could get in the pool, but not until 7pm. There was no hot water , so our showers were cold. I did not report the hot water issue to the owner since we were only there 2 nights. I didn't want to spend the entire stay having something repaired. We also ran into issue getting in and out of the park. The gate closes around 8 or 9. The first night I got in late and couldn't get in the gate. Luckily my daughter was already there and drove her car up to the gate from the inside to open it for me. The same issue happended the next night. We were watching a movie and wanted to go get popcorn. Only one of us could go, so the other one could let them back in. The actual space is really unique and comfortable, but we did have serveral issues.
