Positive: It's a quiet location next to the water, so it is good for relaxation. The place has a "totally 80's" feel of going away to your aunt and uncle's place for a weekend. The kitchen is well supplied.

Negative: The listing and photos showed an outdoor gas grill that I was hoping to use, but it was not there for our stay. If you plan on grilling, ask about that before booking. I also noticed that there were earth-moving tractors and cranes on the adjacent property while were there. They were not active during our stay, but ask if there will be active clearing or construction next door before booking.

Summary: Quiet waterside getaway in wooded exurb.

Positive: The View was Gorgeous!! It was very peaceful and quiet. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. You are located right on the water, but there is no beach access. The tide doesn't go out far enough to walk on the beach. You have views of the mountains across the sound.

Negative: I didn't care for the bathroom accommodations. The lighting is very poor and when you're in the shower and close the curtain it's very dark in the shower. The shower head barely sprays a mist. It's very difficult to put makeup on because the lighting is so poor. The faucet on the sink is so small that it's hard to get your hands the faucet.

Summary: Had a wonderful stay!!

Positive: The views were the best part of the house. Unfortunately, you do NOT have access to the water from this property. It is a bit misleading in that there are stairs on the property to go down to the water but you are not allowed to use them. While we should have read the description more closely but there is NO internet (wifi) in this house. I would suggest stating this explicitly.

Negative: This house is very outdated (circa 1980s). The furniture, bedding, bathroom, and lighting could use some updates. You get great natural light starting at early sunset and through the day but the lighting is inadequate for the evening. It is dark. There is NO water access from this house and the so described public beach down the road is merely an overgrown path down to rocky shore line. 2 of the beds are upstairs in the loft but you have to climb a vertical ladder to get up there. So it's great for kids and teens but doubtful any adults carrying luggage will want that bed and loft space.

Summary: Functional but outdated. No water access nor Wifi. If you want great view w/ seclusion this is it.
