Positive: If you want to experience a traditional Norwegian stay in a family run bed and breakfast this is excellent. The staff were super friendly and told us all about the history of the farmstead. We had the evening meal, which was all homemade and exceptionally tasty, and also the breakfast was fantastic. The location is spectacular and the buildings are beautiful.
Negative: The bathroom was quite tired, but perfectly functional with a very powerful shower.

Positive: The authenticity of the farm. Actually there are several buildings . If you want to stay in the old farm itself, contact the owner . We slept ourselves in a “modern” cabin . Also the sauna is nice . Beware to start the fire very long time in advance . Sure a lot of fun to do
Negative: All was very fine but we somehow had expected the farm to be more remote from everything . Turned out that it was a good thing if you need to go out for dinner . There is a basic but alright hotel at 4km

Positive: Beautiful and charming. Sleeping in an authentic farmhouse, converted to B&B. Very friendly owners (mother en daughter). Nice to listen to the strories about the farm which has been in the family for a long time. Surrounding area is beautiful. In the main house there are 2 rooms. We were the only guests, so we had the shared livingroom for ourself. When the second room is booked also, you will probably hear the other guests. But there are also nice cabins on the property.
Negative: You can hear the traffic on The road near the B&B. At night the traffic is less.
Summary: Very charming stay in authentic farmhouse.

Positive: The B&B is an old farm that has been in the family for generations. The main house dates to the 1830’s, and some of the buildings are much older. We were treated like family by Gro and Margun, and even got to play with the dog. We used the sauna one night when it was cold, which was an added treat. It was a delightful stay.
Negative: We had no complaints!

Positive: The hostess was wonderful. She checked in multiple times to insure we had everything we needed, created a great breakfast and was a wonderful story teller.

Positive: Our favourite accommodation out of 6 we stayed in. So much history in your actual room as well as through the window and in the dining room. Absolutely ancient but exceptionally clean and comfortable. We arrived before check in but hosts were happy for kids to kick a ball around in the garden, and dance on the deck. They kindly made up an extra bed as we had completed the booking form incorrectly. Not many dining options nearby so we went to supermarket 20 mins up the road and then had a picnic sitting on benches outside all the medieval buildings, watching the birds and soaking up the atmosphere, before the kids went off to the swings and entertained themselves. We had the whole place to ourselves until later in the evening. This was my favourite evening of our whole holiday. Other guests arrived later and more on our second day. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed the company. Our first morning was rainy so after breakfast of bread and home made wood oven rolls with delicious dandelion honey and homemade marmalade we settled down to hear the family history. It was interesting and really brought the buildings to life. The wardrobe in our bedroom was from 1658 (or similar - can’t exactly remember now). Then we were allowed to go inside the store house on stilts that we had a view of from Our bedroom. Unbelievable!!! We even went upstairs. Fascinating, so old and we had full access. Amazing- even the kids were really impressed and awed by the experience. We booked dinner for the second night and had very enjoyable plate of potato salad (maybe with slight curry powder?) cold meats and cold scrambled egg. Portions plenty big enough with local thin bread. We had a great day at the Draisine in Veggli and enjoyed the cosy evening playing card games while the newer guests listened to the history of the house. Hosts were incredibly accommodating - let us move fridge so we could use (sorry we forgot to take the last bits with us) Friendly but never too much.
Summary: So old! But so clean and comfortable- like staying in a beautiful museum
