Positive: Breakfast was nice in the sense that they tried to offer as much variation as was possible, sometimes tuna curry, waffles, french toast, pancakes always with an egg and fruit and even an option for strawberry cereal. The people were also really really helpful and kind, showing us around the island, we did an abandoned resorr trip which was even hosted by the owner of Sevinex himself. We enjoyed the quiet and peacefullness here around the island, and were lucky with so very few tourists around. We felt authenticity here and were welcomed with open arms. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit a not super busy island here in the maldives

Negative: The shower in the badroom is quite close to the toilet which ends up making the whole badroom wet when showering, an extra glass barrier or curtains could prevent this. The beds were also really hard, but nevertheless we slept quite well here.

Positive: 1.The hotel's location is excellent, just a two-minute walk to the beach. There is a supermarket next to the hotel, with fresh supplies and convenient shopping.After staying for one night, we decisively extended our stay and had a great experience. 2.The hotel is very clean and tidy, and the owner and staff are very friendly and patient in answering every question. ALI and ABU provided us with a lot of help and thoughtful reminders about various precautions. 3.The breakfast is very delicious and has a wide variety, surpassing the dining level of many resort hotels. 4. Reasonable price, very good cost performance, highly recommended, will choose to stay here again next time.

Positive: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. All the staff in the restaurants were also very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were always trying to make sure you had everything you need.

Negative: Communication could have been better when we arrived at the airport. In the important information it should state how to respect the locals and what is appropriate to wear so that people can pack appropriately. It should be more clear about what’s expected on the island.

Positive: Felt right at home - spacious room, good aircon. Abu and Ali were very welcoming and helpful. I very much enjoyed the small island of Feridhoo.

Negative: There were many explanations about rules at the beginning. It depends what kind of traveler you are, explanations might feel bothersome, but all in all the hosts mean well and help you in any regard :-)

Positive: Abu and Ali are very attentive, structured, serious people and run a tight ship. As a result, the place is very clean and quiet and well-cared for. They communicated the rules and their expectations at the beginning. Ali gave a tour of the island when I arrived and loaned me snorkeling fins for free. The included breakfast was really good, and my room was very, very comfortable. The wifi worked quite well. Ali also proactively gave me all of the information I needed for the public ferry, helped me get my things to the dock when leaving, and followed up later to make sure I had arrived safely at my destination.

Negative: I had asked in advance if I could pay with credit card and they warned me that I could pay with credit card but I would also pay the 3.5% in credit card fees. For that reason, I went to the ATM in Male and got enough cash in rufiyaa to pay my US$260 bill. But when I gave them the rufiyaa, there was a big issue. They said if I paid in rufiyaa they could only give me an 18:1USD exchange rate rather than the 15:1 bank rate (something about the black market). That meant my stay would cost 10% more than what I had booked for. When I questioned whether we could find a solution together to this problem, they suggested I just pay in USD. I pointed out that then I would have all this rufiyaa I could not use before I went home. At that point they reminded me that I could leave but my booking was nonrefundable. That inflexible and stern reaction was a bit of a shock and left me feeling very uncomfortable/threatened. In hundreds of stays in dozens of countries, I have never before been charged extra for paying cash in local currency. If there is some problem with them accepting their own currency for payment at a rate reasonably close to the established exchange rate, that really needs to be clearly communicated in advance.
