Positive: Cute place. Nice facilities. One rude employee one very nice employee.

Negative: When I arrived to check in, the employee was talking to an (American) guest infront of me about “all of the problems with American tourists”. Then I asked her to check in & she said she couldn’t help me and walked away.. However, the next employee was very sweet and helpful.

Positive: Great location in cute little village, friendly and welcoming hosts who met me at their local coffee shop and took me to the house to check in. Lovely big kitchen with all the amenities, everything is well thought out to cook in the evenings/mornings! Amazing views from the windows of the dining area, everywhere was warm, the bathrooms were all clean and modern. My room was a small single downstairs and it was very warm and close to the shared bathrooms! Would definitely recommend to others if you want a relaxed stay to be able to do your own thing!

Negative: The other guests I was sharing with were very noisy upstairs in the room right above mine so that kept me awake overnight but that is nothing to do with the hosts! Overall I accept these small issues when choosing to stay in a shared guesthouse!

Positive: Borgarnes is a small town so this property allows you to walk to restaurants etc easily. Comfy place to stay with a great kitchen area with views across western Iceland.

Positive: Beautiful views, friendly staff, nice kitchen, great location. We stayed in the family room which was on the top floor and was spacious with a big picture window.

Negative: Although the room said we had a private bathroom, it was only a toilet and sink. The shower was on another floor. Also - there was only a curtain separating the second floor from the stairs to our area which included two foldout couches and a bedroom and half bath with a door. There should be a “private” sign so people don’t try to go up the stairs (as one person did).

Summary: Great place walkable to a coastal walk and restaurant. we would stay there again.
