Positive: We stayed at Serenusa Resort for 11 nights in July/August 2026 and had a fantastic holiday. The resort is extremely well managed and kept spotlessly clean throughout the day, with excellent facilities and a particularly impressive animation team: incredibly professional, friendly and genuinely entertaining. The sports facilities were superb. Our 15-year-old son loves football, and on our very first evening one of the animation team approached him and immediately helped him get involved. By the end of that first night he had already started getting to know lots of other teenagers his age — something that made a huge difference to his holiday (and ours!). We also loved the beach: excellent sand, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and great facilities, including free use of canoes, etc. The sea could be quite rough on some days, but there was still plenty to enjoy. The nautica team deserves a special mention for being exceptionally friendly and professional. I took some private sailing lessons, which I thoroughly enjoyed and thought were excellent value at €20/hour. Our room was a good size for two adults and a 15-year-old. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and, remarkably, virtually no queues. I also particularly enjoyed the after-lunch entertainment and the card tournaments in the bar (while husband drinking cocktails!). The best endorsement probably came from my husband and son: within just a few days, they were already saying they wanted to come back next year! (son has already arranged possible dates next year with the friends he made this year) The only small negative was that the air conditioning in our room felt a little weak, although we were staying during an exceptionally hot period. Overall, a wonderful 11-night stay and a resort we would very happily return to.

Negative: Beware if you leave a towel on a sunbed to reserve it — ours disappeared, and we had to pay another €10 deposit plus €7 for a replacement towel. In fact, this is probably my only real negative comment about the resort: I don't think guests should have to pay for the use of beach towels in addition to leaving a deposit.

Summary: superb entertainment, sports, food and beach facilities — perfect for families with teenagers

Positive: The hotel has a very large terrain and well situated at 1st line on the beach; several sport fields; large free parking. Animation - overall good but too much speaking and only in Italian. For kids, nothing good. Good food at dinners. Good base, bad management.

Negative: Some really annoying rules and conditions: - The room is not big enough for a family with two kids. The wardrobe is inadequate for four people. No shelves, just two tubes and several hangers. No cups or shelves in the bathroom. - How can, if you have paid several thousands euro to be asked for additional 10 EUR deposit per towel and 7 EUR for towel service? What service!? You do not even get them changed for 11 days if not paying 7 EUR every time. And they change only the three of four towels. Maybe the fourth youngest kid does not need it!? 10 EUR deposit is only cash. - You go to play tennis, another 20 EUR per rocket deposit. What!? I will steal the rockets and the balls? You have my room number... Again cash only. - You receive only one membership card for the whole room for which you pay about 500EUR. What does it include? All the facilities? Joke...How can a four-member family move around the hotel with one card only - to get into the room, order beverges, etc. - This is not an all-inclusive hotel! Although we were upgraded (Thanks!) for a compensation, it has nothing to do with all inclusive standards. No mid-meals, no fruits, no pizza, no ice cream (in Italy!!!) - Main restaurant - you will have maybe the worst quality of wine in the whole of Italy (famous with just the opposite). No glasses on breakfast, just cartoon cups :), no wine glasses at dinner. No juices for the kids, the most awful painted, aromatised beverages. Moderate breakfast with no vegetables and variety of Italian cheese, etc. - Bars: No English (it is in the whole resort). We couldn't almost never get the same cocktail. Barmen just don't understand what you want. Stupid rules for free cocktails of the day only. For kids, again bad quality. You cannot take anything without the club card. What if the someone else is in the room with the card? - Pools: if you go for lunch you should free the pool beds. When you return you should take another, if available at all.

Negative: The organization of meals. The food quality is very good but the buffet gets a bit chaotic as everyone tries to get food in a tight 1.5 hour window. Better would be to assign two rounds of seating (ie: 12:30 and 13:00).
