This lovely home offers a large main house and a private apartment over the attached garage. All linens, towels and pillows are provided. It has the best of both worlds on a private point of land that has open vistas and also a quiet creek to dock your boat. Deep water dock will accommodate a 52' yacht! Catch fresh fish and go crabbing, and two kayaks are available. The views are wide open and can be enjoyed from most (Website hidden by Airbnb) sparkling pool is adjacent to a large porch where you can watch the kids, have a crab feast, or just enjoy the expansive water views. Celebrate the end of a perfect day by viewing the sunsets.You may arrive by water, MLW depth is 4 1/2-6 feet/end of the dock. Will accommodate 40 ' sailboats.
Your family can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, crabbing, bike riding, and beautiful walks from this 4.6 acre private property located on a panoramic point of land. If you want to explore, you can ride your bike to the 9 car/passenger Oxford/Bellevue Ferry (just minutes away), which will take you to the quaint, and beautiful village of Oxford where there are some great restaurants, a park, and performances at the Tred Avon Theater. Biking through the town and beyond is very scenic with very little traffic. The larger town of Easton, 20 min. away, offers art galleries, golf courses, fine and casual dining, lots of shops, movies, and live entertainment at the fully restored, historic, art deco Avalon Theater. The Chesapeake Maritime Museum, gourmet/casual dining, antiquing, boutique shops, and golf are available in the nearby Victorian village of St. Michaels. You can also pamper yourself there with a spa treatment and fine dining at 'The Inn at Perry Cabin...fronting on the Miles River. ALL of this is located just 1 1/2 hrs. from Washington or Baltimore. Boat charters are also available at area marinas.
The Oxford Bellevue Ferry is a few minutes walk which will deliver you to another charming town. You can access it by car, on foot, or your bike. Once there, you will love to bike ride around one of the most beautiful and quaint villages on the eastern shore. Must stop at the Scottish Creamery where you will find homemade ice cream in many flavors...a VERY popular stop for locals and tourists!

Summary: Spent Labor Day weekend at this fantastic property and we were all impressed. No complaints, all positive. The beautiful property is a short distance from numerous towns to explore, and it’s adorned with a lifetime of memories and amazing collections of items along with descriptions and backgrounds. The view from any location in the house is amazing, and the grounds immaculate - perfect for a family relaxing vacation. Simply the best, and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Above the top!

Summary: Such a great place for family get together. Large public spaces and 3 distinct sleeping locations with 5 bedrooms make it fantastic for a large group. Huge screened porch overlooking the pool (super clean), and Tred Avon River. Easy walk to the Bellevue-Oxford Ferry, Dockside Boat Rentals will deliver a boat, kayaks, and paddle boards to be awaiting your arrival. And Oxford Charters will pick you up at the dock for a fishing charter. This is our second year and another all around success.

Summary: This house is beautifully located on a point of land looking out at the Miles River. There are large windows everywhere looking out onto fabulous views. The house is large and has an open kitchen, dining and living space plus another living space and a delightful, huge porch. We were 6 adults and 4 children from 1 1/2 to 8 years old. There are lots of valuable decorations so care needs to be taken not to disturb these items. We needed more towels but a neighbor managed to help find them. The kitchen and pantry are very well equipped with all manner of pots, pans and all things for cooking. This is a wonderful house with a fabulous setting.

Summary: The house is wonderful. We had 3 kids under 5 and 6 adults and it fit us perfectly. However, the the kids kept us on our toes due to all the breakable objects in the house. No accidents though. We spent the whole time by the pool, on our rental boat or fishing off the pier. The house was fully stocked and we didn’t need much of anything. All of the decoys, george Washington memorabilia and carousel equipment had us investigating and searching for the first few days. The screened in porch was great for night time. We enjoyed doing puzzles and playing board games at night and we were able to easily make it out to st Michael’s for dinner or order in door dash from Easton. We will likely come back again.

Summary: We rented the house for the weekend to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday! The house was amazing. Such a beautiful property. The pool was lovely and the view is spectacular. We were able to spend a peaceful weekend together, hanging out at the pool, looking at old photos and telling stories about my mom. The house is beautiful and it was like staying in a museum. So fascinating. The kitchen was well stocked, the porch is wonderful, and the rooms gave us enough space to spread out. Thank you for sharing you lovely house with us.

Summary: We were pleasantly surprised that the house is the end of the small road with several private acres. The layout offered main floor bed/bath for my parents, 2nd floor 3b/3b for my brother and his teens, and an attached garage apartment for my husband and I. The pool was fun and well kept. The dock was protected and allowed us to rent a boat and the guys to fish. The kitchen had everything a gourmet chef could imagine. Our main difficulty was that there was no easy place/way to launch kayaks or paddleboards. That said, it was a very enjoyable trip.

Summary: Fantastic stay for a family get together - Plenty of beds, and though the master suite is an open space with impacted privacy, it is big and it does have its own balcony, which is nice. The home is very well-kept and maintained, the owner and the property manager are both very responsive and helpful. The absolute best part of this house is the outdoor space including an expansive screened in porch, a wonderful pool, lovely Jacuzzi, fire pit, pier, all on a large grassy peninsula on the Chesapeake. The neighborhood was a great area to walk around in, with a nearby ferry to Oxford. A short 15 minute drive to charming Saint Michaels, was also a lovely perk. We enjoyed our stay very much, and this home is certainly in our starred list for return visits :-)
