Positive: The two ladies at breakfast were so pleasant and made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. Made waking up a pleasure. The breakfast buffet was the best we've ever had at any hotel. The lakeside lounge area was also special. The rooftop spa area was tastefully done with views over the lake and mountains, although a 2pm opening time for the sauna felt overly restrictive.

Negative: Some of the indoor dining areas felt mismatched from the modern and sleek feel of the rest of the hotel. I think this may be a nod to the original alpine hotel which is incorporated into the new hotel. There was also some awkwardness around where we were allowed to sit even when there were not many guests at dinner which caused us to eat elsewhere one evening. We wanted to eat outside two of the evenings when there was a "chance of rain" and we were not allowed even though the area is covered. This felt a bit overly restrictive. The possibility of getting wet sat outside seems like a decision a hotel guest should be able to make. I believe the owners children and/or their friends were around the hotel most of the nights we were there which did not match our expectations of an "adults only" hotel -- the first evening during our welcome drink running through the lounge, then one evening running down the hallway outside our room, and at breakfast.
