Positive: The room itself is very nice and cozy, but it depends what type of traveler you are. The main heating system was a fire-stove, that we had to fill every now and then. We also had a whole kitchen and couches at our dispositions. We could also safely park our bikes in the shed below. The owner is also very nice, and gave us a thorough explanation of the place. With the bad weather warnings told us to take our time for a late check-out with no extra cost.
Negative: It does feel very cluttered, with lots of stuff everywhere. Even to access the room, we had to go next to a trailer through the back-alley, before climbing a stair (where not all the steps feel very confident to stay on). Also the fact we had a to put wood in the stove, means that in the morning I woke up very cold, before warming up again after putting wood back in. Don't get me wrong, it is still a nice place, but you need to manage expectations.

Positive: Quirky decor, very comfortable furnishings. Pretty much everything we needed, just don't expect slick and modern and you will be very happy. Host was very friendly and helpful, we were sorry we had to rush off in the morning to meet our arranged transport across the dyke without saying goodbye, but we really enjoyed our stay
Negative: Only minor concern is the steep Aluminum steps up to the apartment. No problem for us, but might be a challenge for the frail.
Summary: Great hideaway in an interesting town.
