Negative: The bathroom door could be fixed so it doesn't jam tightly which caused us to think it was locked and we had to disturb the gentleman in charge that evening when we arrived.

Positive: Room Spacious for a family of four. Quick and easy checkin and out process. Breakfast Generous portions and fair variety in menu. Staff were courteous and cheerful. Location Quiet and verdant surroundings. Great location to use as a base to explore historic and scenic towns in the region.

Negative: Bathroom is dated — no shower cubicle and bath don’t have a screen/curtain to keep water in. Wifi is slow and unreliable.

Positive: Very good sized room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very tasty too. Good location for Rye and Sissinghurst. Sedlescombe was only a couple of miles away by car and we ate at both the pub and restaurant recommended by the hotel.

Negative: The King Room states a patio and outdoor furniture and the photos show likewise, however the photos have now been taken down. This is incorrect as the patio area is shut off due to it not being safe. Feel slightly mis-sold, as Easter was lovely weather and we had booked these rooms to be able to sit out and enjoy the sun.

Positive: The location is very good. Our room was very large, with a comfortable king-size bed, very big bathroom and views over the golf course. Check-in was quick, although we needed to go to the golf clubhouse, which is a different building. Tea/coffee/biscuits are plentiful.

Negative: There were nail clippings from a previous guest on the carpet. They were still there on day 2. WiFi and TV signal were patchy, with the signal being lost several times. We mention this because the bar/restaurant closes at 5 pm, so people are more likely to be in their rooms in the evening.
