Indulge in spectacular views from this 3-bedroom home at a 4000+ foot elevation. It feels as if you are in the clouds.
Stylish and cozy country home with A/C and a fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy stunning sunsets, stargazing, and 4 seasons. Bring your off-road toys to explore dirt roads. PCT hiking trail 10 min away; Julian, Anza, Borrego Springs & hot springs 20–45 min drive. San Diego 1.5 hrs. Book with the neighboring Country Cowboy Hot Tub Hideaway on 20 acres for more space.
• The property is on dirt roads and will require a 4-wheel drive during heavy rain or snow. We will find a way to shuttle your group in if there is a last/minute storm.
• The master bedroom has one King bed
• 2 additional bedrooms have 2 twins, living room has a Queen sofa bed
• One additional roll-away bed.
• Exterior camera over garage for security.
• The Wood Burning fireplace may be a first for some of you. Please reach out for instructions.
• Antique Foosball table and a 10 in one 48` game table with table tennis, pool etc. Mini Pickleball Court, `Dink Master Midnight` and pickleball paddles also located in the garage. Corn Hole and Bocci Ball games.
• Water hookup and 20 volt at RV space.
• Gated rear yard with large front and back covered porches.
• EV charger (with Tesla attachment) and washer/dryer located in the garage.
Please keep garage, hot tub cover and all doors/screens closed when not in use.
Guests can use all 40 acres of the property and can bring their own Quads, bikes, dirt bikes, ATV`s, RV`s etc.
The driveway connects to the lower neighbor’s yard. When you find the gate on the South end of the property, that will be the property line.
EV charger is level 2 Wallbox Pulsar Plus J1772 and Tesla adapter.
Large grocery stores and gas stations are at least 20 minutes away. Please do all your shopping and get gas before arriving. There are spices, olive oil, and condiments. Reach out if you have additional questions!

Summary: The house was beautiful, much better in person than the pictures. The host was super nice, and communication was great. We enjoyed taking our afternoon naps. Hopefully we can return when the weather is better.

Summary: We have stayed in around a dozen rental properties over the past 10 years and this ranch house ranks right at the top of our list. We hated to leave after a week but had other places to go.The house itself is large, very comfortable, bright, and extremely quiet. The kitchen is excellent and well-equipped. If you are looking for a very isolated, quiet stay, consider this one. The hot tub was a great bonus.From day one, communication with the owners and caretaker was over the top. If I could rate them 6-stars, I would! I never waited more than 5 minutes for answers to my many questions.As the owners advise you ahead of time, the property is very isolated and Ranchita offers no stores, groceries, gasoline at all. We were there to hike and birdwatch and really enjoyed both. In summary, a great rental in a beautiful location with fabulous owners.

Summary: We loved our secluded weekend at Roberta's place among the oaks, red shank shrubs and boulders near Ranchita. She and Genevieve were accommodating and patient with our requests for a change in the bed arrangements and let us in early when we arrived. Lovely views, good working kitchen. Close to hiking up on the plateau and less than a half hour from Anza Borrego. Enjoyed the hot tub as well!

Summary: My husband and I picked this property to see the night skies and we were not disappointed! It’s a very remote location with quiet and no lights so you may enjoy the amazing night skies, along with some shooting stars. The location is 10/10; it has everything you need just bring food! The host is 10/10! Roberta made check-in and out very easy and simple. We will definitely be back.

Summary: My son loves astronomy so we needed a place that was remote for the dark skies. This place was perfect. We loved that we could walk right out the door and set up his telescope. The house was very clean, organized and well stocked. Know that there are no stores or restaurants nearby so you must bring your own food and drinks. Roberta, our contact person was amazing. She was pleasant, easy to reach and very informative. We would love to stay here again.
