Positive: There's a view on the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. We got very good recommendations what to see from the owner. He lended us snorkels for free. There's a parking place, a bit narrow entrance but it was no problem to get in with a smaller car. There was also aquamat which was very nice.

Positive: Lovely house away up the hill away from the noise. We literally had the whole kitchen and terrace for ourselves. The room is a very big size with ensuite bathroom. The view from the room is great also to see the sunset and the stars at night. It is conveniently located nearby perhaps the most beautiful beaches in Malta including Golden Bay, etc. Mattia and Katrina are great hosts. They are super friendly and were always available for questions and recommendations even before our stay. Really can't fault it!

Positive: Mattia is the best host I've ever had in a booking reservation. Except from his kindness, he gave us great suggestions for places to visit around Malta, and how to avoid any tourist traps. Always with a smile on his face and willing to help! The house is great, really well-decorated, with an amazing view (please don't forget to check the sunset), incredibly clean and tidy. It is very close to many beaches and it's super quiet and calm. It has private parking and you don't need to bring any towels with you. The host provides you with snorkeling equipment. We would absolutely recommend it without a second thought. In the end, Mgarr is a nice village that has lots of scenic restaurants and delicious food, it's worth a visit. If you ever visit this property, please consider Mattia's suggestions.

Positive: The rural location was perfect, very quiet & peaceful away from the urban areas in an area with lots of walking routes & some wildlife sites not far away. While sitting on the patio we enjoyed watching a lizard! The distant views are very good & also interesting to see the surrounding farmland. Mattia & Katrin are such lovely people, very friendly, welcoming, helpful & kind hosts. I loved how enthusiastic Mattia was about the location & where to go and giving advice. The property was very clean, comfortable & spacious. Thank you ever so much for your generosity in providing various food items. Excellent WiFi throughout the property was a great help. In other locations in southern Europe we have had problems with mosquitos, but there were none here when we visited in early May. We hired a car from the airport. It only took a 20 min drive. The country lane up to Secco's is quite narrow & a single track, therefore hiring a small car is recommended.

Negative: We cooked in the kitchen every evening, but found the range of utensils & pans limited this. There were a couple of broken items. Another wooden spoon, a fish slice & some egg cups would be helpful. Some written guidance would be helpful eg how to light the oven, what items can be recycled or put in each bin, nearest shops, a list of nearby wildlife sites (see BirdLife Malta & Nature Trust Malta websites) etc.

Summary: Wonderful hosts, we didn't want to leave.
