Summary: It has been a good experience, the Nature in this part of Corse is amazing, we loved the walk and baths in the river Fangu (probably the best experience) and the canoa, then the boat tour in Scandola natural area (sea) and the visit of calanchi of Piana and its beach Figarola, Piana was quite far, a long road trip with thousands of turns, so it took hours, even if the distance was not so big. But it can be afforded one day, aslo bacause the calanchi are really beautiful. Anothe recommendation is the hike to Girolata, a small village buy the sea that you can just reach on foot or with a boat. The apartment was very nice, with lovely outdoor area, the owner excellent, responsive and gentle. The only element - not essential - is that Galeria is not a town, is a village, with basic shops but very small and the gulf is not the best one on the area, i saw that some works were going to be done so probaly the beach and guld will be better in the future. I would have loved a promenade to do in the evening, some public benches to enjoy the view... the village is small, not organized as a sea town with events or night life, there are some restaurants. This area is quite "wild", you have to go there mainly to immerse in the nature, to relax or if you like the sea. In general, a positive experience

Summary: We staid for two weeks in the appartment in Galeria and we really enjoyed the stay. The appartment has a top equipment with air condition, dishwasher and many more things. The view from the terasse is very beautiful and we enjoyed the short way to the beach and the beautiful swimming pool. The landord speaks french and english and is very helpful. Galeria is a small village but there a a few good stores and many restaurants and cafes. We would like to come back.

Summary: This house is near perfect in almost every way. The owner Cesar has thought of everything bar a couple of things, you will not be short of anything to make your stay comfortable. It is located together in grounds with four other apartments with some shared facilities (outdoor pool and seated open area). We used the pool every day for a dip in the mornings and in the evenings after walks in the mountains or being at the beach. The location is excellent in the lovely village of Galeria, on edge of nature reserve and a great base to explore this region of Corsica. Plan your time as there are no tourist tips left. PROS: Very modern apartment (self contained), warm and bright, very well equipped (stacks of kitchen utensils), balcony (sunny late afternoon), plenty of bedding, linen and towels provided. Located on top of Boulangerie so fresh bread and croissants from 7am till 7pm. Great shared pool, quite small but excellent to keep cool in when need, with plenty of loungers for everyone. CONS: If you need internet to do essential work then be careful here, the internet was very poor. Two days we could not get internet at all and most of other days it was difficult to do much on it, pages took ages to download and was always timing out. I spoke with others in the other apartments and they too had difficulties with internet. Cesar was not unfortunately too helpful at sorting the internet cause if it worked on his phone it was working, but most of the time it was very frustrating and not working. On occasions a speed test measured only 1 Mbps download speed (sometimes less). We had difficultly contacting Cesar directly as the telephone number we had didn't seem to work and with no internet we could not email him, however, you can always ask the lady in the bakers downstairs as she will contact him right away for you. It's important for some instructions on how to set the dishwasher as we could only get it to work on two occasions, even Cesar could not get it to work. The whole electrics in the apartment tripped out on us three or four times if we were baking in the oven and using three rings on the hob at the same time, so be aware and not use more than two rings as well as the oven. TV - had no English Channels (only french or German) - some English channels would be useful (as would a DVD player). OVERALL-very satisfied bar the above. A communal washer would be useful. Would visit again if he sorted out better internet as it's essential for me
