Positive: Great home, lovely quiet location. The welcome pack was a great touch ( drinks, teabags and sounds daft, but dishwasher and laundry tablets). The shower is fantastic. Really nice place.

Negative: Nothing to do with the property but, I know this is why you pick this lovely property for its remoteness and that’s it, it’s a little remote. There are no local facilities even though Burnmouth says it has. As I say this not a dig at the host or the property but is just to inform other visitors.

Summary: Lovely property, great locals, and wonderful views.

Positive: Amazing location loved watching the seals and dolphin's in the bay, great for rock pooling with the kids and within easy reach of other coastal towns and Edinburgh. The cottage is clean and well equipped for a great stay

Positive: Stunning location right next to the sea. Parking for the car is immediately opposite the house. Very comfortable. The towels and duvet are particularly luxurious. We saw seals, dolphins and herons from the house.

Negative: Three was no washing up bowl or brush. It is difficult to get in and out of the bath/shower if you have hip or knee problems. The single huge bath tap located half way along one side makes accessing the bath difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The sloping garden has several steps, but no hand rail. We didn’t use the garden at all for this reason.

Positive: location was great, looking out to sea. Very clean and well stocked, also tea, coffee machine, sugar, beers in the fridge.

Summary: We had a very enjoyable stay. Very quiet but near to larger towns, Eyemouth and Berwick.

Positive: The location of this cottage is second to none, with it's outstanding views out to sea literally yards across the road. The cottage is well equipped and very clean and the villagers were friendly and welcoming. Access to the surrounding areas was easy and always lovely to return to the cottage after a day exploring.

Negative: Hooks on the back of the bedroom and bathroom doors!

Positive: Great location in a friendly and authentic fishing village. Extremely well-equipped and well-maintained for self-catering and ideal for singles,couples or small groups/families.Quality towels and bed linen and many of the appliances and equipment looked new. Easy access to a wide range of shops,supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Good base for exploring the region generally or simply for a relaxing hideaway.

Negative: The only negative for me was the sofas which I found uncomfortable but this was mostly due to my age and the fact that I’m arthritic.The owner clearly takes pride in the quality of accommodation he offers and I’m sure this will be rectified in due course as part of a rolling programme of refurbishment.
