Positive: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Grounds had beautiful gardens and Flora.
Negative: Beach was not useable. Muddy with muddy water. Kayaks should have been free and had a high hourly rental rate. Free breakfast was too plain and basic. Be prepared to climb a LOT of stairs to get from the resort to the ocean. T.V. streaming services were terrible.

Positive: I liked the friendly staff that bent over backwards for you and the clean resort rooms and gardens.
Negative: The Wi-Fi was terrible and we couldn't even watch movies for three nights. The beach is disgusting and muddy filled with really crummy dirty brackish water. There is no beach to chill out at it is very swampy and lame. The kayaks are $25 for a couple hours and they should be included for free like all other decent resorts. The tiki bar is open when it's open and not too many people are ever down there. The complimentary breakfast is okay at best with a ham and cheese omelette and some fruit and two pieces of bread.
Summary: If you want quiet and nature without many other activities this is the place

Negative: Steep incline on property - might be difficult for people with mobility issues to get around.

Positive: We chose Seagull Cove because it is one of the few resorts in Boca Chica with its own restaurant and private dock. Since there are only four dining options in town and essentially no local taxi service—they have to come from David, making short trips uneconomical—having an on-site restaurant is a necessity unless you have a rental car. The dock is also essential for swimming and water taxi pickups. The resort is built on a hillside, which is common for all properties in this area. This means there are steps—120 from the dock to the top—but at 65, we found them manageable. We stayed in the Monkey Cabin; while it is smaller than the others, it offers great views, easier access to the water, and better shade and breezes than the units further up the hill with far-off bay views. A golf cart is available to take you from the lower cabins to the restaurant and pool if you prefer to skip the stairs. The restaurant is rated the best of the four local options on TripAdvisor, and the prices are very reasonable—about half the price of Atlanta or other moderate travel destinations. They provide an included breakfast and will even cook your catch for you after a day of fishing. The service was exceptional for this price point: * Paco provided some of the best service we have ever experienced; any request was met almost instantly. * Daphnie and Marvin were very attentive and professional waiters. * Michael, the groundskeeper, provided a friendly greeting every morning. * Juan, the manager, was professional and helpful in ensuring everything ran smoothly, including offering to have breakfast ready early for our fishing trips and departure day.

Positive: The room was spacious, quiet and very clean, the hotel in general was very pretty and the views were breathtaking. The staff treated us very well and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely go again.
Negative: The pool was a bit small and there were a lot of stairs throughout the property. After a couple of days our legs were hurting! The island tours should have the option for the guests to choose what they want to eat or drink at the beach, even if it has an extra cost. These are all little things, overall we loved it.
Summary: Amazing experience, beautiful views, great service and food!
