Positive: Friendly staff, very accommodating to many requests, acted promptly on any problems with our room. Always smiling and made us feel very welcome anytime of the day we saw them. Mahmoud at reception was very helpful with any queries we had and Mr Hani was extremely kind on our departure making sure we were happy

Negative: Most things were great, there was one entertainment show called mr Hotel, which was inappropriate for children to see in my view. I would recommend that’s changed. Otherwise, the rest of the entertainment nights were fun.

Summary: Clean, great location, good facilities, lovely beach spots, highly recommend staying here.

Positive: Very friendly staff and Mahmoud from Guest Relations took care of our requests very well. The food was generally good and there was always something nice to choose from the buffet. We had a big room with pool view from the balcony and the facilities were great, including the two small private beaches. Highly recommend Seagull Beach Resort.

Negative: Egyptian alcohol is not the best in the world :)

Positive: Plenty of space for everyone, convenient for downtown hurghada and the beach area was beautiful

Negative: Quite a lot sadly. I travel a great deal (particularly to Egypt). The following areas were poor by comparison to others. 1. On arrival, security at the door would not let me in until I showed evidence. I admit I looked slightly dishevelled after a long dive trip and my phone was dead. Imagine the ignominity when I had to search through my case virtually on the steps of the hotel to find the print outs. Usually you would be escorted to reception. Very heavy handed! 2. Reception. No real welcome, no eye contact, no effort. Everyone looked bored. My card was handed to me in a very businesslike fashion. I asked for a large map of the hotel and was told "maybe tomorrow" 3. Lobby customer services - I had left a wetsuit on the diveboat. The liveaboard rep office was in hurghada. I asked them to help me with the logistics; in particular the phone call only to be met with the same lacklustre "what do you expect me to do" response that she gave me 3 times. 4. Pool area cleaning. For some reason the hotel pool area gets cleaned at 3am with jet washes. This is coupled with loud conversations and laughter between the staff members on each occasion for over an hour. The pool areas are central to the hotel set up and most the bedrooms are within 10 metres. I reported the noise twice the first night (nothing was done) and again twice the second night (nothing was done). On the 2nd night at c4am I went down to reception and demanded to speak to someone senior. The night duty manager mohammed finally took control. I was livid!! I had lost 2 nights sleep. Fortunately following 3 meetings and interventions by both the Ast GM and the GM himself, they put remediation in place which I am grateful for. I had been to this hotel before, a couple years ago for a meeting and thought it visually impressive. Sadly the hotel, in my view, could be run better. Staff seem lacking in energy, enthusiasm, initiative and warmth. You feel it the moment you walk in. I use booking.

Summary: General manager had to intervene to prevent this trip becoming a nightmare.

Positive: Location is good and it's on the main street, that leads to New Marina in 15-20 mins walking distance.

Negative: There was no air conditioning in the room, and hotel staff kept making excuses that its winter time (in 30 degree temperature outside).. after a day offered replacement room (one family room, in lieu of two interconnected rooms). Hotel has a range of amenities and all inclusive hotel but with fairly average quality of meals.. Hotel is okay but mostly in need of renovation. Probably a 3 star hotel instead of 4 star and overpriced for what it offers.
