Seagoe Homestead lies on a 15 private acres and is a relaxed 7 minute drive to the coffee shops, gift shops and restaurants of Stanthorpe. Access is convenient to the New England Highway with the best Granite Belt wineries between 10 minutes and 25 minutes drive.
Seagoe Homestead is a turn of the century country 'Queenslander' located, on Queensland's Granite Belt.

Summary: Beautiful homestead. Nothing forgotten. Artworks & decor create a very peaceful & relaxing atmosphere with modern cons updated for today's convenience. Large living areas with fireplaces to keep one warm on those frosty evenings with lots of throws & extra blankets to stay warm & cosy. You can picture the early pioneers & settlers - those of privelige - who were fortunate enough to build such a beautiful, spacious homestead. Wonderful experience. Summary: A huge home & enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen & the bacon & eggs in the fridge was a lovely surprise. Very quiet & peaceful & enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the afternoons. Very comfortable beds

Summary: Loved the area, just out of town but not too far. The block of land and surrounds were magnificent. House was wonderful and had lots of character from the old times. Probably a little dated in areas and could do with a bit of TLC here and there. But really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We had two weekends here. We all had a fabulous time with our two separate groups of friends. We love the outdoor open fire in winter. Some house clean could be a little more attentive. (dinner table wasnt wiped). Master bedroom's bathroom needs a heating element as it was cold to step in the shower in the mornings. Property Manager is extremely helpful, she assisted us on the day eg. light bulb was not working. We need more firewood. All of us wants to come back again and again to this place. We were close to everything. My husband and I have been to this place 4 times now and will definitely book again.

Summary: Great place for peace, quiet and country outlook. Also really close to various tourist attractions and wineries. Pros: House is large with lovely olde worlde feel, beds were really comfy and warm, two bathrooms is a plus with lots of hit water available, three fireplaces with ample wood and firelighter was very welcome - when all three fireplaces are lit the house is very warm and cosy. Kitchen well supplied with all manner of utensils and appliances Cons: lots of lamps and lights not working, electric blankets not on all beds, only very thin throws provided for extra warmth - thicker ones would be good, DVDS provided did not play in the provided player, rat seen in the kitchen, also check as possibly under study bedroom bed, hanging cobwebs in some corners of the house. These issues are easily remedied and we're not onerous to us. We would happily stay at SEAGOE Cottage again! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
