Positive: We had stayed at Seagaia Forest Cottages before in August 2023. It has a main condominium building and a collection of multi-apartment buildings, amongst a pine forest behind the Hitotsuba toll road. The staff were polite as always. It was nice to see the gym are now free, but as a parent the opening time was too late at 10:00 AM. The outside pool is small, but maintained by friendly staff. On a very hot day they gave us ice cubes to provide additional cooling and sprayed the pool from a hose. The location is close to the Aeon Mall and a good variety of restaurants (yakiniku, kaiten sushi, ramen, etc). It is easy to get to highway and toll road for adventures beyond Miyazaki City. My surfboard bag was lost by ANA en route to Tokyo. This caused a lot problems, finally resulting in having to ship the bag to our Miyazaki hotel. Forest Cottages were very helpful, paying the costs on delivery on my behalf. There was free parking close by. It did get busy with the arrival of various school groups. I am sure we will be back again.

Negative: The outside pool would suddenly close for a short period at quite random times. The interiors of the rooms are tired with marks on the wallpaper and floor, but are otherwise very clean. I don't think they have been renovated since I stayed there in the mid-1990s. We had an issue with some school children banging on our door several times one night, but chose to ignore it as a childish prank and went out for dinner. There was no repetition.

Positive: For our family of five this room was more than spacious enough! We stayed in a cottage with a small kitchen, living and dining area and two bedrooms. There were even two toilets. It had all the amenities we needed.

Negative: This hotel was definitely older. The outdoor spaces were worn out, and though inside was generally clean you could tell it was an older room that hasn't been updated in a long time. There was some mold in the shower room.

Summary: We would stay again for the size of the space, price, and location!

Positive: This place is huge..there is a large hotel plus quite a few cottages as pictured. We actually stayed in a group of apartments that were a bit different to that pictured. The site looks like it had big plans but when we were there there were very few people around. Maybe in summer if would have more people and maybe a nicer vibe if the pool opens (dirty and unkempt when we were there in April). So a bit on the tired side but pretty cheap also. Location was great and plenty of bikes to hire which was nice to ride through the foreshore amd forest paths

Negative: Entrance area to the apartment block and pool area needed some TLC.
