Summary: Very much enjoyed the tasteful and clean apartment. Lovely well-tended pool, beautiful view of the placid bay, not spoiled by high rise or development. Numerous screened jalousie windows allowed the soft tropical breeze into the apartment. Restful setting with water lapping under the ocean-side windows. Lots of nice tree frogs at night. Good linens and comfortable bed. Overall, terrific!

Summary: We spent 10 fantastic days here at Parson Maules. We came for the cricket but found so much more. We hired a car which is imperative staying here as it is a very quiet part of the island. The views from the house are wonderful and the house was spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could want, including a cool bag and beach chairs which we made excellent use of. Cicely could not have been more helpful with suggestions and tips. Nearest beach is one of our very favourites and only 10 min drive from the accommodation although you can swim in the sea right outside your front door as there is a small jetty with steps into the water. Great to do early in the morning as the sun is rising. Would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful holiday away from it all.

Summary: Our stay in Seaside Cottage was even better than we expected. From a friendly and helpful welcome at the airport, a patient visit to a supermarket and help whenever requested it was a happy and memorable experience. Only the grassy strip for parking your car separates this cottage from the beach in Belfast Bay - a quiet almost land-locked lagoon, where one can swim, though beach shoes are advised. The pool is right by the front door and there is direct access to the verandah too. Just the occasional user from one of the other properties. The other permanent members of the community were very friendly and helpful when asked. Being on a private estate, there are no day trippers, unlike popular beaches. A car is needed to reach tourist attractions, restaurants, shops, churches etc as well as the airport or ferry terminal. For people who like quiet spots and lovely views, this is a good place to stay. Access by car to other popular scenic beaches and other attractions is mostly by quiet roads on the less-developed eastern side of the island, or across the centre and down Fig Tree Drive. There was a refreshing breeze that rendered A/C or even a fan unnecessary, at least in January anyway, one just needs to regulate the numbers of windows left open to suit its strength or direction. There is always a choice of shade or sun-exposure according to taste. One is surrounded by trees and so falling leaves and fruit and other rural noises are part of the environment in addition to wind and waves, but man-made noise is only occasional and distant. This is definitely somewhere we would like to visit again.
