Summary: Booked the Sea Shell Motel last minute for a 4 night stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. The location was fantastic-walked right out the door to the beach. There are lounge chairs on the beach for guest use and staff take the beach daily which is nice. Our room was clean with 2 beds-probably more full size than Queen, so a little smaller than expected but ok for a short stay. We appreciated the small kitchenette (sink, fridge, microwave. Stocked with plates, cups etc and coffee maker). It was also nice to have a little extra sitting room area that was bright and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room Wasn’t cleaned for a couple of days but when I asked, they were quick to take care of it and it turns out we just didnt have the sign on our doorknob to let them know we wanted housekeeping. It looks like some things have been updated recently-the bathroom looked fairly new as did the flooring. The a/c was held together with duct tape so could use some attention although the room temperature was comfortable. The room smelled a little musty on arrival, probably hard to avoid with damp ocean air. There is also a little common area with a portable gazebo, table, fire pit and grill which we didn’t use, but others were using it. We did encounter a very strong smell of marijuana one night. The location is fantastic-easy access to restaurants, beaches and attractions in the mid-Cape area and not too far to drive anywhere.

Summary: Hotel is not a usual hotel that you think of. it is a very old and small hotel. front desk is often not available even during the office hours. I booked the room with a full kitchen, but it was just a kitchenette. no swimming pool. shower water pressure extremely low, very uncomfortable. bathroom heater was not working. no hairdryer, you need to ask the front when they are in the office. the size of a one bedroom was good. however, overall very old and uncomfortable hotel.

Summary: Very pleasant stay at the seashell motel. It was the first weekend it was open for 2025 had a slight issue with the showerhead and they upgraded our room and helped us move overall a very pleasant experience.
