Summary: The elegance of this hotel was a surprise, given its rural location. The room was very comfortable and well thought out. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding and the staff were professional and welcoming.

Summary: Great stay, beautiful surroundings and perfect for a stopover in Germany. Food was not brilliant but ok. Very clean and convenient.

Summary: If you want more than just "a bed for the night" in the vicinity of the Autobahn A1 in Niedersachsen, and if you are willing to drive an extra 10 minutes to and from the A1, Hotel Schröder is an excellent choice. We have been there twice and will continue to come back. The rooms - situated in a separate building 30 meters from the reception - are large, with good beds, a wardrobe, well-functioning wifi, nice bathrooms (no toiletries) and small television sets i.e. everything wee need - though a little conference-hotel-liike. The restaurant is has a beautiful modern decor and nice space between the tables. The menu is interesting with a choice of dishes that differs from and is better than what is traditionally offered in most German countryside hotels and inns. Still prices are almost the same. An excellent breakfast buffet offers hot and cold, dairy products and cereals, good bread, various cheeses and meat-cuts and (very few) vegetables. Service all over the hotel is good.

Summary: Can't really say much about all the facilities, but it was a very pleasant stay. We also took a walk in the woods behind the hotel and found some lovely places. Staff is very helpfull. Great room, great lunch, great breakfast. Only positive things. If you need a hotel in the neighbourhood, take Schröder !!!
