Summary: The historic estate is in impeccable condition. The friendly, professional staff and the beautifully appointed facility both get five stars. Our room was perfect for our taste, the view of the lake was really wonderful. The gardens are filled with well maintained vegetables and perennials and the outer grounds are walkable. The only drawbacks were 1) The 17 CHF taxi ride from the train station could have been saved if they had a golf cart like so many five star hotels have. It would have been a 15 min walk in the rain 2) And we paid 215 CHF extra for exclusive spa time before our prix meal. They didn't heat the mega bath/jacuzzi. And it isn't a real spa, just a sauna in a beautiful, relaxing space with so much potential. No steam room, nor cold plunge. No medicinal salt scrub. No slippers. One smaller pool that could have been the cold plunge wasn't even filled with water. The charming, professional staff were so hospitable we didn't have the heart to complain. We would definitely return, just remind them to heat that amazing jacuzzi.

Summary: Staff are very friendly and helpful. One particular staff even brought my family blanket without asking while we were enjoying out wine outdoor nexg to the fire place. So considerate. My wife simply love this place.
