Negative: Pillows were terrible with no support. Bathroom squashed and little hanging space for towels. Impractical.

Positive: Superb restaurant, quite expensive but really lovely. I especially loved the dessert for the undecided! A sliding chest of drawers with different desert options. Bed was super comfy and great to have tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Negative: We would have really liked to have known more about the history of the castle when it was a POW camp, as that’s why we chose to stay there.

Summary: An atmospheric stay in a castle on a hill. Fabulous restaurant with nice staff.
