Positive: The hotel is located in beautiful green area, nearby the lake and nature around. Room is spacious with a great view and balcony. It has A/C and private kitchen with fridge, basic utilities and kettle. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so it's worth to rent a bike or use tuk-tuk.

Negative: Cleaning policy is not clear, for 10 days our room was cleaned once when we requested. The drain in the bathroom was not working properly, which resulted in flooding on the floor. Breakfast is localised (carry, coconut pankaces, sandviches, sri-lankin tea and coffee, etc.) which is good and tasty overall, but may not suite everyone.

Positive: Scenic location next to a lake. They provide kayak tours too. It's a bit far from Hikkaduwa but it wasn't an issue for us as we had a vehicle. Rooms were very spacious , clean and well maintained . Staff are very polite and helpful in providing tea coffee and other request.

Negative: It's a bit away from the main road so not a quick access unless you have a vehicle. Final access road is a bit narrow for large vehicles. Bathroom in the family room is small.

Positive: - lovely owner, always there if you have questions - super surrounding, calm lake, still not too far from the beach or Hikkaduwa (just 1€ for a Tuk Tuk) - very good and changing breakfast - comfortable bed and working AC (a little bit loud though)

Negative: It has nothing to do with the hotel but there are Moskitos due to the lake, just be prepared mentally ;)

Positive: Staff was really coopeartive and humble, Site was superb. Breakfast given was a feast to enjoy

Negative: A bit of insects like Lizard, Spiders and surely Mosquitos were seen in the room but i think this is the problem in Srilanka.... Negatives ignored when the other services provided were nice.

Positive: We had an exceptional stay at this peaceful lakeside retreat. On arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and fresh juice. The location is stunning—quiet, tranquil, and right on the water. All rooms offer beautiful lake views and feature a wraparound balcony with outdoor seating, ideal for relaxing in the evenings. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is kept spotlessly clean. The staff clearly take pride in maintaining the property and were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the on-site activities like kayaking and safaris, which allowed us to explore the lake, mangroves, and nearby river. The boathouse and restaurant are lovely spots to unwind, and the Sri Lankan breakfasts were a highlight—each morning brought a new and delicious dish. Our room was spacious, bright, and well-equipped with strong air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, and a handy kitchenette. Laundry service was available at a very reasonable price. Although the hotel is slightly off the main tourist path, there are restaurants within walking distance, and getting to Hikkaduwa is easy and inexpensive—just 400 LKR by tuk-tuk. We will return for a few more nights on our way back.

Negative: We liked everything. 😄. Be aware if you want to order lunch and dinner it is best to order in advance.
