Positive: Lovely big spacious communal areas. Very close to Newborough forest and beach.

Negative: Rooms smelt of damp downstairs. Extra £200 charge for use of the hot tub which was ridiculous. No toiletries in the bathrooms, a minimum shampoo conditioner and body wash would have been nice, we had to use hand wash as we weren’t expecting to find nothing! Noisy rowdy pub very close by making sitting outside unpleasant.

Positive: The hosts left lots of useful items and nice touches to make our stay more comfortable and having some of the essentials we had forgotten to hand was great. It’s also a great location for access to Newborough forest and a walk along the estuary was also lovely. The house is really spacious, clean and modern with views of the coastline out of the top floor windows.

Negative: We missed the fact that the hot tub wasn’t included in the cost. The upcharge to include it for a weekend was unreasonable at £200. Especially as the hot tub was already running throughout the majority of the day. Doesn’t seem a very economical way to run it. A smaller charge would probably encourage more people to use it and if it’s running anyway then it’s less of a waste! It’s next to a pub which could be a bit noisy from the downstairs bedrooms and there was a lot of barking from dogs in the nearby kennels. The dishwasher needs a clean/ service as it wasn’t cleaning the dishes very well.
