This is a rare place — deeply authentic — where you immediately feel welcomed, not as a guest passing through, but as someone genuinely cared for. The lodge itself is beautiful, thoughtfully integrated into its natural surroundings, peaceful, warm, and effortlessly elegant. Every detail reflects care, intention, and respect for the place. What truly makes Sangany Lodge exceptional, however, is Yvonne, the owner. Her generosity, presence, and deep knowledge of the area give the lodge its soul. She can also seamlessly organize any type of excursion or adventure you might want — whether it’s a boat trip, quad biking, hiking, snorkeling with turtles, or even arranging a sunset cocktail on a deserted island — all done with authenticity and excellent judgment. These days remain among my most meaningful travel memories — a genuinely restorative, human, and memorable experience.
