What makes my accommodation special is that it’s located in a small but peaceful village, surrounded by nature in the lower-middle mountain range of Cuenca. It’s ideal for people who love nature, breathing fresh air, and hiking… or simply for those who want to get away from the city for a few days. In addition to its great location for visiting major attractions in the area, the house offers all the amenities to make our guests feel right at home: rooms decorated with floral motifs, a bathroom, a TV… heating system, a fireplace in the dining-kitchen area, and a barbecue on the outdoor terrace with beautiful views; furthermore, thanks to its wood-and-stone construction, it is perfectly insulated against both cold and heat—and everything is on a single floor.

We’re located in Monteagudo de las Salinas, a town dominated by a castle that’s easily accessible and free to visit, learn about the history of the Ruta de la Lana, a pilgrimage route that passes through this town, the salt flats, San Roque… and if we travel a short distance, we can enjoy the Cabriel River in Enguídanos with the Chorreras waterfalls and in Víllora with its small beach; as well as natural tourist areas in Cañada del Hoyo with the Lagunas de Colores; in Contreras with the Hoces del Cabriel; Alarcón, a town surrounded by its reservoir, hiking trails, great cuisine, and various activities (e.g., horseback riding); Valverde del Júcar, a swimming area in the reservoir that resembles a beach; the ruins in Valeria; and, of course, a visit to the city of Cuenca is a must, thanks to its beautiful historic center, the “Enchanted City,” the source of the Cuervo River, and the vast array of marvelous landscapes you’ll encounter.
