Sandgate is a fully equipped family home set on the sand dunes of Waikanae Beach with a commanding view from the large living room of Kapiti Island, Marlborough Sounds, and the shoreline from Paraparaumu to Otaki. Sandgate has been in the same family for more than 50 years, and as such it is particularly suitable for families. The unobstructed view of the beach and ocean has been very popular with our previous guests. Sandgate is a pleasant half mile walk along the beach to the cafes and grocery stores. The beach immediately in front of Sandgate is safe for swimming year round.

Summary: Thank you for a wonderful 10 day stay! The views and location were incredible and we loved our beach walks to local cafes. We've stayed in Waikanae Beach a couple of times and this was the best location yet. The house is an original beach house but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it was brilliant for our family with teenagers. Rhonda (the property manager) was very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Summary: Family from Melbourne and Dunedin congregated for a catch up prior to christmas. Suited us perfectly re bedrooms and bathrooms and spaciousness of the house. Have stayed here previously and given how much we enjoyed it then, the location right on the beach enticed us back.
